Ok so what do we know for sure about his decisions that we can't imagine

Patriot Act
Illegal wire tapping
torture
extraordinary rendition of other countries legal citizens
abuse of POW's
lying to get us into a war with Iraq
General disdain and ignorance for the Constitution. ie "it's just a god dam piece of paper"

There's no excuse for these things.

The president doesn't care what the people think. Guess he thought he was president of some other country other than the US.

The OP is absolutely ridiculous.

I hope we NEVER have a president that cares about, or legislates because of, public opinion.

So what should be his mandate? Should he march according to Chinese or Russian orders or would you be fine with him just doing whatever American corporations , or even more powerful groups, orders him? Why do you want to be ruled by the rich tiny minority instead of by the majority of your fellow citizens?

Why do you have such a low opinion of the rest of Americans? Why is it that the worse types of people always thinks the worse of others?

And for those that think the world despising him somehow says something: All it says is that people always need a villain and always need a patsy.

The world despises him because frankly despite all the propaganda and nonsense we are fed by the MSM we can spot a dunce of puppet for money powers most days of the week. That is why Bush didn't win either of the elections DESPITE the fact that half of American voters didn't vote at all ( knowing that it doesn't matter) and a majority of the rest chose not to vote for Bush.

Funnily thus Americans didn't elect Bush any more than Germans elected Hitler and both countries suffered for not managing to keep these tyrants out of their respective seats of power. "We the people' are not always clever enough to figure out when we are being had but the fact that they refuses to give/allow us proper democratic institutions and economic powers proves that they well understand that we are smart enough not to be allowed enough power to affect their economic power.

Stellar

Even though I know I'm in the minority on this site, I'm going to say what I think needs to be said......

Bush is no different than any other POTUS. They ALL lie, they ALL cheat & they ALL will do anything to get what they want. It's not possible to make it to the office without doing all of the above.

So yes, bash away everyone. As of right now, that is still legal. Just remember this thread when Obama annouces an increase in spending, therefore increasing our debt (check), backs out of his promises (check) & pisses off the masses with whatever plan he has cooked up for his term in office.

So yes, bash away, 8 years ago, it was Clinton who was getting the verbal lashing because he couldn't keep Little Willy in his pants & in In 4/8 years, Obama will pull something & recieve the same "Thank god his term is over" lashing that just about every POTUS has recieved before him.

It's the nature of the beast. The POTUS has not had much concern for the "little people" for some time. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wearing blinders. At least Bush was honest enough to say it out loud.

And FYI, I'm one of those "morons" who voted for him twice. Maybe instead of calling us names, you should take a hard look at the alternatives we were presented with, not exactly the cream of the Dem crop there.

So are you saying we should just remain silent when someone does something wrong? That since nobody would do a good job, we shouldn't bother speaking up and asking for change? And we shouldn't keep asking until we get it?

Lately I've felt a need to post this in a few threads and will do so once again here

"In Germany, they came first for the Communists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist;

And then they came for the trade unionists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist;

And then they came for the Jews, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;

And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up."

-Pastor Martin Niemöller-

and then there's this one

"Never allow convictions of the ignorant to overwhelm logic, reason and common sense".

You will wish George was back when your new OJT President starts bungling things up. Change is not always for the better.

Not at all, I think everyone should freely express their opinion. I just wanted to say that this has happened with every outgoing POTUS & it will happen with the next as well. Not all the evil in the US rests at Bush's feet, it is a burden all our politicians share blame in.

As for change, yes, we desperately need it. I just don't have faith that Obama is going to be the one to bring about this great change. Personally, I think the only ones who can are the people themselves. Depending on one man to fix all our woes is kind of silly if you ask me.

(On a side note, I love that saying & have posted a version of it myself on ATS in relation to gun control.)

But I'm beginning to think he loves his drinking..........pics at the Olympics, his scrapes, scratches, falls, the "pretzel" incident, constant rumors of him being drunk at summits, too suspicious for me. Plus, what about the visits of gay male prostitute John Gannon at the WH, and pictures of George kissing and hugging this man...........eek.........

Well, this 'thing' that people voted into office for 8 yrs., along with his master vice p., achieved their agenda: destroying a World's economy.

Don't think so? Maybe you'd get a chance to vote for another can of beans (female - believe me, they could buy it), but the destruction they perpetrated has been well done, and it may not come to pass (nuclear...).

I haven't been able to look at even a picture of this dark monster since he stole office. 'It' has confirmed all my anticipations of behavior since.

I know many people hate Obama, but they hated Kennedy, too. He'll do what he can with whatever fairness and honesty he can get away with. That's right, 'get away with.' The presidency isn't what you think it is. Except this guy is gonna pull for the side of human decency.

Anybody think otherwise, go have some beans with the beanmaster of death and destruction (currently escalating...). Smile, your on idiot's camera.

I hate to write this but.....

We here in the USA did allow this pathetic man to continue in office after all the things he has done and the things he has said.

I am floored to this day that when he said, "Our Constitution was nothing but a God damned piece of paper," that the peoples didn't stand together and impeach the man and it even is tuff for me to write the word man to descibe him.

I also hate to say that it is just not him there are many in government that have been bought and paid for and it also deals with most "not all" but most Leaders of Countries....and the likes of the richest like the Builderburgers, Rockerfellers, etc. etc, ect.

Are we going to do anything as a team USA, no why? because we know we haven't/aren't prepared and they have. They are just waiting for the right time provoke the sheeple. To think we weren't even asked what flavor cake we wanted.

Will Obama be better, maybe people will think so in the beginning but you must remember he is apart of the Elitist now and if he has to follow there rules or he will become another John Kennedy.

Wow, then why don't we just go back to the monarchy then.

These people campaigned for years, spent millions,on a platform that was to please the people. They earned out vote, darn right they better listen.

Or there is absolutely no point to an election.
Are the polls the sole reason for making decisions? Absolutely not. But yes, they should factor.

I find it insulting that people here think that Americans cannot see what is going on. one human male cannot possibly understand what is going on with every city, state, municipality, farmers, lawyers, doctors, teachers, bus drivers, and landfill workers, to make sole decisions. The input of the people tells these leaders what is going on. If no one ever complained, how would they know there is a problem?
If everyone was quiet and trusting, would they know seniors are dying because they can't afford heat or medicine?

And the president having super secret information is not a reason they can make decisions without the support of the country.

If my son or daughter was being sent to war, and getting killed for it, "JUST BECAUSE" is NOT A REASON.

That is almost making him omnipotent. It is his will.

If the president isn't accountable to the people, then who is he accountable too?

I couldn't agree more with the President, he gave his heart and soul to this country for 8 years and led it through some of the darkest days of its history following 9/11/2001, which could have been appointed if Bill Clinton had taken one of two opportunities to assassinate Osama Bin Laden, when he couldn't be disturbed during his "private" time in the Oval Office with a cigar and an Intern.
Bush did the best job he could with the Democratic rule in the House and Senate, who fought the man tooth and nail for everything. Bush did rid the world of the tyrant Saddam Hussein, who murdered millions during his 30 year year of terror. Bush brought democratic elections to Iraq for the first time in 30+ years.
So give the man the credit he deserves, he didn't loot the White House, like Bill Clinton did when he left 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in 2001. Clinton also stayed in Washington at an Air Force hanger and lingered around for hours after Bush had been inaugurated, thanking those who had helped him in his 8 year year of lies and deception.

3 years from now when you are over taxed, there is no federally funded health care, the draft is back and socialism comes calling Bush's administration will not look that bad. Our administration did not put our country in this mess, we as Americans did with overspending and feeling we are privileged. Unemployment is skyrocketing but the congress and Senate get raises?????

This man did not care about those who opposed the tough decisions he made. He made decisions for the good of all people and not the select few that strayed his views. People think that lobbyists got the best of him and he was a monkey but he had balls. Big ones. That is what it takes to run a country.

Was he the best, no, but he was not the worst.

Its all relative, and history will judge Bush on comparative terms to who preceeded him in office and who took over after he left . Judging him today is like trying to see your ear with your nose pressed to the mirror. What seems one way to day may well look very differently when judged in hindsight.

The fact he states he 'doesnt give a darn about ' the American people remark is probably more indicative of a lack of hypocracy than anything else when viewed objectively and certainly doesnt isolate him in that sentiment in regards to professional politicians.

I kind of love how the whole thing is taken out of context and people focus on that one line to justify their stance. What I took from it is he pretty much said he would sacrifice his approval ratings for sticking to his guns and so on.

Personally, while I don't agree with a number of his policies and so on, I have to respect that part in a leader. Lets face it, especially given all the dummycraps and newly formed democRats in this country, I wouldn't trust the leadership to mob rule either. Lets face it, every time we've had a democrat leader in office, our country goes down the crapper and our rights evaporate. Most who know anything about politics will see Bush's politics as extremely democrat leaning. Clinton wasn't any better. And now, we have yet another liberal nincompoop heading into office. Say goodbye to having a way of life anywhere above the poverty level. Hopefully there will be enough calories, vitamins and minerals in the kool-aid to sustain you.

Bush is a closet democrat? Never heard that one before.

Come on guys, stop throwing your fuhrer under the bus like that. He did so much for you, why are you being so ungrateful?

Peace

Logic, reason and common sense? Hmm. Let me see if I can't find something useful here...

Here we go...
Video

Exactly how much logic, reason and common sense does it take to know we're being screwed from every angle? It's not just Bush, but the whole (Roman - American no diff.) Empire that has turned it's back on the common man.

Isn't it also amazing how the Military Channel pretty much slaps us all in the face every chance they get. Trust me, it's not just Bush.

EDIT: Video problems....like how it only happens with certain ones. Just click on the link. Enjoy.
