Hello, and thank you all for taking the time to read this.

I have always been an avid dreamer, my whole life.

As of late I really have been noticing that I don't dream at all anymore.
It has nagged me as of late, and I have been paying more attention to it.
But looking back, it''s been about 6 months since I have had a solid dream that I could recall when I woke up.
Keep in mind that I used to keep a dream journal before when I had dreams that I thought were important.

Can anyone give me any idea to what is going on? What is the problem? Why am I not remembering my dreams. I know I must be still having them, right???

I'm fairly new to this site, and this is my first thread. So I apologize, I didn't know exactly where to post it. Any response or help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all again.
KT

Just because you can't remember your dream doesn't mean you DON'T actually dream.

My partner did not dream for a long time until taking a supplement that contains iodine, potassium and calcium. Maybe it had to do with some type of inbalance in the body or thyroid.

How old are you? (rhetorically, or course - you need not answer)

Several years ago I notice, or I thought anyway that I wasn't dreaming. When I tried to think hard about it I realized that I was dreaming the same as I always have, I just don't remember them. Within about 2 seconds of waking up I knew I was dreaming but I could not remember anything about it.

I am back to normal now --- it was caused by - ready? ---stress.

Dreaming involves cholinergenic mechanisms. You might try a choline precursor like DMAE, lechithin or phosphatidylcholine. Choline itself isn't delivered to the brain very well so taking it in that form won't do you much good. You can Google these to see what they are...they are all over the counter.

Also, people low in Vitamin B6 tend not to remember their dreams. You could try taking a B vitamin tablet for a week and see what happens.

Thank you very much.
I did a google search, and just might take your advice about B.
Again much appreciated.

yes things have been a little stressful, but nothing even remotely serious.
that comes with classes.
I did have a nice vacation recently, and still couldn't recall anything.

But thank you for the input!
