Ten years ago I was chased from my home by a fallen angel named Azazal. He, along with the offspring of fallen angels and man called the nephilim, were trying to incarnate Lucifer’s child to begin the end times. With the help of an old preacher and the blessings of God my wife and I survived. The only good thing that came out of the whole experience is that I met my wife.
Soon after my wife and I left home she gave birth to our daughter Angelica. The first five years after we left were full of constant attacks by Azazal. He would regularly attack us while we were sleeping dragging us out of our beds scratching us all over our bodies. But through it all we maintained our faith and it stopped. So we have been living a peaceful life for the last five years.
A couple of days ago my wife told me that she had a dream about my parents being killed in a car accident and that it was going to be caused by Azazal. I didn’t put much thought into it because it has been five years since anything had happened involving Azazal. Then this morning my daughter comes to me crying telling me that she had a dream that Memaw and Pepaw were hurt really bad in a car wreck.
After she told me this I decided that I would call my parents and let Angelica talk to them so that she would feel better and realize that it was just a dream. When I called my mother I realized something was wrong because a man answered the phone and I heard sirens in the background. I asked who am I speaking to and he told me that my parents had been in an accident and they were on their way to the hospital.
Not wanting to go back to the place that my personal hell began, I loaded my family up and reluctantly went. We didn’t make it in time to see my step mother before she passed. I met the doctor outside my fathers room and he assured me that my father was going to be all right that he was just banged up from the accident.
When I got to my father I asked him what happened and he told me that they were driving down the road and a dark figure stepped out onto the road. He swerved to miss and hit a tree. He kept repeating that he got this horrible feeling of dread when he saw this figure and that it couldn’t been human. I told my dad that he needed to get some rest and we would be back tomorrow to check on him take him home if the doctors would release him.
As we are settling in to my parents house I start to get this feeling of dread myself. It’s starting to sink in that maybe Azazal wasn’t through with us after all. I decided that I would call upon the old preacher that had helped us escape the first time. I drove out to the old church hoping he was there and wanted to ask him if anything has been going on in the last few years.
When he saw me get out of the car it looked like someone one lifted the world off of his shoulders. I asked him how he has been and if anything strange was going on. He told me that about a month ago he started hearing chanting coming from the forest behind the church, and that some people from the area had been reported missing. I asked if he had been out to the clearing in the forest and if he hadn’t I would be more than willing to go with him within the next day or so. I asked if he would join my wife and I for dinner so he could meet my Angelica.

When we got back to my parents my wife already had dinner ready. When the preacher saw my daughter he had this odd look on his face. That me and my wife couldn’t help but notice. After dinner my wife put Angelica to bed and I asked the preacher if he didn’t mind if he could explain why he had such an odd look when he met my daughter. He told me that he had a vision, and in this vision there was a girl that looked like my daughter that was lying on a table surrounded by dark figures and the sound of chanting.
That’s when I realized the reason Azazal wanted my family back here. He wanted to finish what he started ten years ago and that my daughter was the final sacrifice. I asked him if there was anymore to his vision, he told me the vision always stopped with her on the table and he could see me standing in the background. After that we said good night to the preacher and we went to bed.
The next morning I sent my wife and Angelica to the hospital to see my dad, I stayed behind to meet up with the preacher to go to the forest and see what was going on out there. When we arrived at the clearing we could see there was fresh blood on the table, and could still smell the candles. It was apparent that the sacrifices were still going on and the only way they would stop is if we stopped them or they finished what they started.
I went back home to see if my father had been released, he hadn’t. When I turned onto the street where my father lives I noticed a man on the sidewalk talking to my daughter I sped up so I could get there before he could grab her. As I was getting closer he looked up at me and started walking across the street. I pulled into the driveway got out and walked down to get Angelica. I noticed how he was just looking at me with this sinister grin. My wife came outside then and ask me what I found out.
I asked her if she noticed that there was a man sitting here talking to Angelica. She said that she had been watching her the whole time and didn’t see anybody. I then asked Angelica what the man had said to her. She looked up to me and said “He told me that an old friend of my mommy and daddy would be coming to visit me real soon“. At this point I was furious, its one thing to come after me but my child.
Not knowing what I was going to do I drove back out to the forest around nightfall. As I was getting closer to the clearing I could here somebody screaming. I hurried along trying to get to the clearing before anything happened. I was too late to save the girl. I walked up to her and all you could see was a gapping hole in her chest and her heart set on the table above her head. I turned around to leave and heard this maniacal laughter, and a voice that said soon.
I rushed home to check on my family, Angelica was in the bed and my wife was sitting down watching TV. I told her what I saw and about the voice the ,whole time she was just gripped with fear. She told me that we have to get out of the house we just would have to start running again. I told her as bad as I want to we can’t that Azazal would just keep coming back until he gets what he want’s. We have to find away to stop this once and for all.

Later that night the preacher came back over, set down with us and we prayed for guidance. We finished praying, and lets just say the answer was not the answer I was hopping for. We were sitting there getting ready to go out to the clearing when we herd my daughter screaming. As we already knew what was going on we just hurried to the clearing in the forest.
While we were driving to the forest we could see my daughter in the air being dragged by something that looked like the man from earlier. We came up to the edge of the forest at the same time as the creature carrying Angelica did. We rush out to the clearing just as she was being placed on the table.
I run up to the table to grab her just as the dagger is coming down. The next thing that happens is a blinding bright light emanates from the table. You could here Azazal and the nephilim screaming in agony as they were being pulled down to hell.
It’s been six years since that night. Angelica got her drivers license today. She’s driving her mom back from taking the test. She doesn’t to much think about that night. She has done a pretty good job of putting it behind her as best she can. My wife She’s happy, because she knows there is no need to run anymore.
Me, well I’m not hurting. It’s funny that a sacrifice could have end the world as we know. But in the end a sacrifice saved us all. The answer to my prayer was that to save my daughter I would have to die. The selfless act of giving my life so my daughter could live, was just enough light to put an end to the darkness.

Thats a vey interesting story. I am not going to commet on whether I believe it or not nor ask you for proof. I am sure many will not believe you but spritual warfare is real as are demons. I wish more people would realize that and I pray that God will open their eyes to the reality of spitual warfare.

I enjoyed reading your story. Definitely a genre I like, but I find that your spacing and lack of paragraph indentation made it a difficult to read. Other than that, good story.
