‘Emergency’ Declared for Inauguration

It is true, President Bush sounded alarms about Barack Obama during the campaign season. On Tuesday, Mr. Bush went one step further: He declared Mr. Obama’s inauguration an actual emergency.

Bush claims it was to get extra $$$ to increase security.

I find that questionable, at best.

This has already been covered by a recent thread.

I really wish people would study what it means to declare a emergency before assuming Bush is up to something. These are routine declarations used to free up resources, which Obama has created by having a lavish and absurd enthronement.

They are routinely issued by state governors for their own inaugurations too, but because DC has no state government to do that the only way to free up resources is through a executive declaration.

When Obama is exalted and canonized again in 4 more years, he will issue a emergency declaration himself because his lavish inaugurations require additional resources to make sure total chaos doesn't occur.
