( Phase three... No phase three... Phase three... No phase three... )

Israel has briefly delayed its all-out assault on the heart of Gaza's population centres because it believes that local leaders of Hamas have been shocked by the ferocity of Operation Cast Lead and want to end the fighting.

Ehud Olmert, the Israeli Prime Minister, remains determined to launch “phase three” of the operation if necessary but hopes that the prospect of Israeli troops advancing with overwhelming firepower into Gaza's most built-up areas will deepen the tensions emerging within Hamas and force it to accept Egypt's ceasefire plan.

- Lets face the facts: You cant.

We see and hear fierce fighting every night, but Hamas keeps Israeli forces far away from city centers... They cant make the moves - phase three is failed! - Palestinians are making progress in their defence!

Israeli army has tried now 5 days to push inside to Gaza without any notable progress... Nothing is achieved, forces are still on outskirts, and "stuck in the mud" ... That what is really happening.

Those Zionist murderers has no face to save, criminal justice would be only place for them, and disarmament for Jewish state - and international forces to look over those war mongering peoples, in both sides.

And with international, I dont mean USA - another war criminals are waiting their destiny there.

The only thing I can agree with you on.

But the forces have to have the authority to use force without permission to stop any bloodshed. Otherwise they are useless.

Everyone cant admit obvious defeat!

- Another breaking news...

Likud leader calls for tougher assault

Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of Israel’s rightwing opposition, urged the government on Tuesday to escalate its assault on the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip and “topple” the Islamist group from power.

Mr Netanyahu, who is the frontrunner to win next month’s general election and succeed Ehud Olmert as prime minister, said: “At the end of the day, there will be no escape from toppling the Hamas rule. . . If the government decides to adopt this goal, we will also back it.”
