Drunkest Place in Universe

Interestingly enough...Sagittarius B is the answer. Its a collection of interstellar gas that contains 1 Billion, billion, billion liters of alcohol, created when formaldehyde and methanol combined. Dont get your hopes up, its about 26,000 light years away...which would take over a million years by space shuttle.

Here's a more..."scientific" link
Link

Sagittarius B is an interstellar cloud of dust and gas located in the vicinity of the center of the Milky Way and contains significant amounts of complex organic compounds, evidence that life may be present somewhere else in the universe, aside Earth.

I'd still prefer a nice cold beer rather than a gas cloud any day.

But it does sound like they know how to party over there in Sagittarius B

And here I thought I had found Utopia.

Still, from such brew may be born we know not what. A sot?
Time will tell.

Hey, I was born in Sagittarius!

Hm... Come to think of it, that may explain a thing or two.

Edit for spelling. Again... Sigh.

This is great news...!

How many times have I said that the universe is a wondrous place that holds many treasures..?

Well, I never have, but with this news I shall profess those words on a regular basis...

And 26,000 light years away..? That's nothing - I've walked 2.6 miles just to re-up on Stella...

This should actually be in the Breaking-News forum as far as I'm concerned...

I don't think you want to drink something made from fermaldehyde.

Does this make rubbing alcohol plants the drunkest places on earth? Only if you want to go blind

For a brief period I was wondering if they were talking about my state of wisconsin. Been number one in Binge drinking since the CDC (Center for Disease Control) began their survey over a decade ago.

Hmmm, with the right equipment it would indeed be worthwhile to visit. I can see Wisconsin launching it's own probe with a distillery attached to Sagittarius B. (chuckle)

Reporter: "But sir! It's 26,000 light years away! Do you have any idea how long before it gets there?"

Official: "Can you imagine how well aged it'll be when it gets back? Launch that puppy!!"

If mankind should plan to venture anywhere out there....it should be THERE.

Sod the expense and the scientific barriers, that's the place. End all war and start funneling the funds...pleeeease.

I book my seat on the first coach trip now!

You just answered some of the biggest questions in life...who are we and where are we going......hic!
