Here's the solution: when Hamas fires a rocket at Israel, Israel should fire one back. It should have about the same explosive power as the one from Hamas and the same relatively crude guidance. Maybe it will come down in a heavily populated area, maybe not.

Rocket for rocket. And that's all.

That should satisfy everybody, and when people in Gaza are killed they'll know it was because Hamas fired a rocket at Israel.

Israel has extreme resources at its finger tips. If they truly wanted to take out top Hamas leaders, could they not use the Mossad? Any of their highly trained special forces? Do they truly need to drop 500lb bombs on schools to take people out? Or are they trying to make a point.

Do they truly need to fire round after round of White Phosphorus into a crowded town under the guise of "smoke screening"??? No they don't.

Out of the 13 Israelies killed, I believe 90% were from friendly fire. The #'s don't add up. Almost 1000 dead civilians to 13? Daily bombing runs, artillery shelling, tanks, gun fire, drones over head every night. Come on. If Israel's real objective was to take out Hamas they would have, and could have done it already, with much better results and probably ZERO civilian casualties.

A better way to respond would be when Israel suffers a rocket attack, be it one or 100, then they should fire an entire battery of MLRS single warhead rockets and take out a grid in response.

After fifteen or twenty grids, I assure you, this crap would stop for all time.

Right.. until you build up such negative views and opposition to what your doing. Then the sheer dissent that people have for you breeds more and more people wanting to shoot YOU.

IE: The middle east and EVERYTHING that is going on there.

If you don't like war - then you don't shoot across the opposing border!

Ok.. lets say "I" don't like war but my neighbor does. So HE shoots across the border. Do I then deserve to be killed? Does my son? Does my house deserve to be bombed to the ground? No...

It really sounds like Israel is tired of dealing with people who want them dead. If I had to deal with people who want me dead on a daily basis, then I would (in a war with you) try to make sure that you will never be able to fight back ever. Thus the word EVER.
I never understood this ideal that you had to be friendly with your enemy, and try to not hurt them, but I have always saw in history that the victor is the guy who usually treats his enemy like )(*&&. He makes sure to kill every guy who hates his side before discontinue hostilities.
It is no wonder that they are using a weapon to literally kill people easily For that is the way it has always been when developing a weapon. A weapon to mane and disfigure the enemy is somewhat useful against people who want to kill you.
But lets considering these fools who are not using there noggin against a enemy with F-15, latest Artillery, and up to date accurate small arms fire. I believe the saying comes from the Movie Gladiator in which in the first part of the movie, the Roman soldier says to something like "don't they know when they are conquered." I put that to the Palestinians who should know when they are conquered and not try to resist a good democracy when they see it.
As far as I'm concern, Israel is making it harder for us to buy the fuel we need to operate our economy. Also I believe the Obama administration should not even try to broker peace between these guys. Its really a wasted effort.

Peace on earth and goodwill among men.

nuff Said. I wish they would do something like this. It would be nice to watch but there's an unfair advantage. Israel know how to target things. wouldn't Israel target actual hostile targets instead of just firing a rocket and see where it lands?

But Palestinians aren't dying because Isreal says they "deserve" it. The innocents are dying mostly because Hamas uses them as human sheilds. There doesn't seem to be any condemnation of that.
