I just wonder why Joe isn't in the Congo, where tens of thousands are being killed. That's a conflict in which American intervention is really needed.

Because we don't have a Congo led lobby group buying out our politicians and news media for their own selfish goals.

The thing that makes me laugh is what "Joe the Plumber" said in one of his first interviews in Israel that the media should just mind their own business and not even report the Gaza/Israeli war. After hearing that, I was thinking, "And exactly why are you there?"

I thought at first that this business was so rediculous that it would quietly go away but then I wondered just who was behind the whole thing to begin with.

I think that what is involved is less about "Joe" than an attempt by a fledgling "news" organization to get their name out there.

www.pjtv.com...

... breaking news ... Joe the Plumber goes to Israel to cover the Gaza War for Pajamas TV... more to follow ... keep up to date through email alerts by registering... Watch Joe's interview by Glenn Reynolds and Michelle Malkin.

hmmm... Michelle Malkin eh? Now there's an unbiased pundit and proclaimer of the truth.

And to answer the question about just what credentials Joe needed to represent this news outlet....

Become a Pajamas TV Media Sleuth to report on examples of media bias and deception that you want exposed or that you have countered (you must be 13 years old or older).

So Joe must have met the "age" requirement although I'm confused if you are countering the media bias, or have EN-countered media bias.

I'm going to go lay down now. Martha!! Where are my pills?

This is off topic, but what is happening to the dog in your avatar? It looks like it's being crucified or hung. It's a disturbing picture.

He has ridden a tidal wave of media BS by being a complete dope, a man that appeals to the "average guy." That's why he is "Joe the Plumber" not "Samuel The Tax Evader"

Joe is almost the entire creation of the McCain campaign. He was intended to demonstrate that McCain's policies were better for the average, middle-class guy (you know, the guy down the street who makes 250k or more and worries that Obama is going to raise his taxes) than Obama's were, and to demonstrate that McCain in particular and Republicans in general are just good ol' boys.

I'd say that one day soon he will show himself for what he really is, but actually he's already done that and he's still the darling of the Rush Limbaugh crowd. As P.T. Barnum once said, you'll never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the public.

Thanks

The thing that is absolutely hilarious is that after he said that no media should cover the conflict, he said that he misses the old days of WWI and WWII, where Americans would get their news sources from watching movies.

First, was he even alive during WWI or WWII? And second, if he relies on his news from movies, then I worry when he finishes watching Gigli.

Here is the real Sam Wurzelbacher in case anyone actually think this guy is worth two craps...

A detailed article in Newsweek pointed out that, "Reporters working on profiles soon discovered that Wurzelbacher didn’t actually have a state or local license to work as a plumber in the Toledo area, and despite Wurzelbacher’s insistence that he didn’t need one, local officials and building inspectors in Toledo insisted he did. On Friday, those officials said a letter was being mailed to Wurzelbacher’s employer warning him to get into compliance with city codes or face the loss of the company’s license."[71] Wurzelbacher's former employer, A. W. Newell, is licensed by the State of Ohio and the City of Toledo.[11][18]

An MSNBC article further elaborated on the requirement for Joe to legally work, "...anyone working under Newell should have a journeyman’s plumbing license or an apprenticeship license, officials said."[72] Local 50 of the United Association of Plumbers, Steamfitters and Service Mechanics, whose national membership endorsed Obama, stated that Wurzelbacher has not yet completed the apprentice program he began in 2003.[73]

quote taken from: en.wikipedia.org...

Also, I can't describe the irony of how this man got onto the stage..

A representative at the court explained that Wurzelbacher had not paid $1,182.98 of personal income tax. The state filed a lien on January 26, 2007, and the payment remains outstanding.

I would love for anyone to make a case FOR this guy... I would seriously give anyone a cookie if they can!

HIS NAME IS NOT JOE
HE IS NOT AND NEVER WAS A LICENSED PLUMBER
HE DOES NOT PAY HIS TAXES

"I don't see what the problem is with Joe The Plumber"
