Most Loved and Hated avatars

Hi BTS!

I want to submit my new avatar as the soon-to-be most hated avatar on ATS.

You won't be able to keep a straight face, let alone concentrate on the article to the right of the scary self-puppeting lunchlady.

Who's avatars do you love and why?

Who's confuse you, drive you crazy or simply irritate you?

This is not to attack members because of their avatars, far from it. It is to have a bit of harmless fun talking about, comparing and offering suggestions on everyone's e-face.

Yep that's rather annoying... In a good way.

Whenever i see your new avi i always think of a Russian guy and than slap my forehead and say damnit its bush.Everytime

No not really, your going to have to remove it though, the files size is to large 245.18 KB (251068 bytes)


Avatars:

GIF and JPEG file formats only with a maximum dimension of 160 pixels wide, by 320 pixels tall. File sizes are not to exceed 75k and animated GIF's are allowed. (physical size can extend up to 400 pixels tall for images under 50k in file size)

So does that file size limit go even for avatars not hosted on the ATS server? I didn't know that, seriously.

My old avatar i've had for 6 months was 180k

I can't think of any favorites off the top of my head.
But I like badgerprints, just a cool picture.
Now_Then's is funny as heck, I laughed good when I saw it.
fooffstarr's DID distract me a bit I admit, but it's cool non the less.

Now a little off topic, I'm thinking of changing mine.
I've stuck with this one, Cat, for a while now, hard to part from it.

However, I'm diggin the one I'm trying out now, what do you folks think? I'm torn.:bnghd:

That's a picture I took on the Appalachian Trail and then did some photoshop to make it look like it faded from real to a painting.

I actually thought of using a 'lolcat' in my new avatar, and I might have to yet anyway if the new one is illegal.

Anyone good with Adobe Fireworks know if you can compress the gif down to lower the quality but also lower the filesize?

Might be a 'save for web' option, I'll have to check it out.

Oh God.
No.

I can't read some of the posts with the fast animation avatars. Talk about headache over-ruling the situation.

I just hit the Esc button and all flashy avatars come to a halt. Nothing will bug me when I'm posting or reading.

Well, if your using Firefox with the adblock extension you can block out any particular avatars that are bothering your load time. Just right click over the avatar and select adblock image.

all i can say is thank god for Adblock
that allows you to block Images, yours is a headache
