Revolution, I've heard people talk about for years. The White Nationalists, the Black Nationalists, La Raza, the Leftist, the Socialists, the Communists, the Anarchists, the Conservatives, the Liberals, and the guy that does my wife's hair.

And after years of listening, wondering, and yes, even imagining a revolution, I have come the conclusion, there will not be one in my lifetime or the lifetime of my children.

Americans wax nostalgic for the days of Payne, Jefferson, Franklin, Washington, and Henry, but as is always the wanting is so much better than what it takes to have your hearts desires.

The corporations abuse, we do nothing. The police abuse us, we do nothing. The government abuses us, we do nothing. The criminals abuse us, we do nothing. Why? Because it takes brains, guts, and resolve to leave the comfort of our four walls, regardless of how squalid or lavish, and step out in the streets and do something.

The last generation to do anything were the Hippies. Second rate free love, peacenik shadows of true revolutionaries. To cowardly to fight abroad, but even more so to fight at home.

Their legacy is a legacy of talk, talk, talk, and zero, absolutely zero, action! To standby while your neighbors are forced out into the streets by greedy Wall Street tycoons while they dip their gnarled hands in your pockets is nothing short of cowardice of the first order.

We, yes myself as well, are all cowards. Weakened by luxury and made slaves by the baubles of lifestyle.

So, keep up the good work America, keep arguing about who is more patriotic, who has made more sacrifices. And when they outright enslave your children and grandchildren just sit back and watch American Idol.

Most people have the wrong mindset. Most are still waiting for the government to fix things for them.

I'd love to see some "real change." Unfortunately most don't care yet....but anything is possible.

I don't think it will take "one" nasty event to change things....it will take many things. As things continually get worse and more people are affected by our governments greed and shortfalls....then we'll see more anger...more proponents for change.

We aren't there yet. I think we will be though. Angst and anger is growing.

Myself...i can't wait to see it....seeing people think for themselves and not letting others do it for them.... To teach themselves instead of letting the establishment shape their opinions.....i highly anticipate the day when the tide finally turns.

All we need is a real, all encompassing, all crippling, catalystic event to trigger the 2nd American Revolution. (By event i mean some crazy tax or maybe collapse of the dollar or trying to force the NAU on us. Something unreasonable in the eyes of the average American.) We are much closer than many realise to all out revolt. If you read about the French Revolution, those people went through way more hardships then what we are going through right now. The fact that you keep hearing people talking about revolution is a testament to the sentiment of the people of this nation.

We are tired but still have hope that things will improve. That is why no one has started any major pushes for restructuring the government. Its amazing how little the average worker asks for but gets the run-around trying to get it while CEOs spend hundreds of thousands of parties that have no purpose. With electing Obama as President people rode the "Change" wave with hope that he will help the people out and make it easier for the people that make this nation what it is. But, if he doesn't do as he said, "Change", there will be a lot of pissed off, disenchanted, and most important of all awakened, people to see that nothing will change.

The fact that the voter turnout in the last election was the highest in decades is more proof of how fed up we are. I have seen many people completely fed up with whats going on go out to vote, changing things through the vote is easiest way to change things...

"This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it". - Abraham Lincoln

Voting is the first step, use the system to beat the system, if that doesn't work, get your guns and burn the world. Have faith, either they will do right and listen to us to change things for the better or we will do it for ourselves.

Interesting theory but revolution doesn't have to be a series of event. It can be one event, ie, aliens invadeing our airspace by the 1000s and disableing all nuclear weapons and other militant armory.

Revolution I believe will come, however in the way it will come will not be that of the people, but of the universe.
