Les Têtes Raides - On S'amarre (2007)

J'ai foulé cette terre
Et ses gouffres de mer
A coups de pédalo
Ou de chaînes à vélo
C'est promis cette fois
Ce sera la dernière
On est des bouts de bois
On est des bouts de verre

On s'amarre, on s'amarre
Et quand on en a marre
On se noie dans la marre
Pour que ça redémarre

J'ai réduis en poussière
Des diamants de rivière
J'trouvais ça rigolo
Au coin de mon bistro
Il arrive parfois
Qu'un rayon de lumière
Ca nous pique les doigts
Qu'au moins ça nous éclaire

On s'amarre, on s'amarre
Et quand on en a marre
On se noie dans la marre
Pour que ça redémarre

On s'est assis par terre
En lisière de mer
J'ai tout mis dans le sceau
Ma pelle et mon couteau
C'est promis cette fois
Ca sera la dernière
Avant que je me noie
Dans tes bras qui me serre

On s'amarre, on s'amarre
Et quand on en a marre
On se noie dans la marre
Pour que ça redémarre

On s'amarre, on s'amarre
Et quand on en a marre
On se noie dans la marre
Pour que ça redémarre!

On s'amarre!
On s'amarre, on s'amarre
Pour que ça redémarre
Redémarre!

Actually your classic was Belgian not French (French speaking Belgian). The instrumental backing was the same one used for the song 'Jet Boy, Jet Girl'. Both songs were recorded by the same producer, Lou Deprijck, who was also the vocalist on 'Ça Plane Pour Moi', not Plastic Bertrand.

Belgian pop star Plastic Bertrand confessed Wednesday he did not sing his 1977 hit record "Ca Plane Pour Moi" -- nor any of the songs on his first four albums.

"Jet Boy, Jet Girl" has the same backing track as Plastic Bertrand's/Lou Deprijck "Ça Plane Pour Moi". A few months before "Ca plane pour moi" was recorded, the record firm used the same masters with the same musicians to edit "Jet Boy, Jet Girl". Alan Ward recorded his song in English. Yvan Lacomblez had written totally different lyrics in French.

I'm glad I found this thread. I haven't listened to the songs but I will. I just got into French pop/rock a year or so ago and I am discovering a lot of great people and songs.

Here are some in no particular order:

Michel Berger singing one of his many great songs, Le Prince des Villes:

Québecoise singer, Diane Dufresne, singing Oxygène:

One last one (of a great many) I could choose, Sylvie Vartan, singing a great song written by Michel Polnareff, Holidays:

I love French rock and pop. It has been a great experience discovering new people. It also helps me improve my French.
