Kyiv's economic court has decided to ban the national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy from transiting Russian gas in 2009 at a price of $1.60 per 1,600 cubic meters per 100 kilometers, the Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Ministry has said.
The court decided to satisfy a ministry appeal declaring ineffective agreements on Russian gas transit via Ukraine that were to run until late 2010, the ministry said in a press release on Monday.
