Some time ago (years ago) I began to suspect that the situation in the Middle East was not as the MSM depicted it. Recently I received an email forward from one of my friends at the church I used to attend. I thought it smelled funny so I forwarded to my dear mother (who still attends church) with a comment added. I essentially told her that the church should be in the business of declaring the gospel of Jesus and not in the business of blindly supporting Israel. She responded in short that my opinion was "debatable". I suppose it is. I personally believe that the Christian church should come clean, denounce Israel's deplorable actions, and go back to their Gospel roots. Here is the body of the email:

this might be of interest, to some of you, i know it was to me.

---------- Forwarded Message ----------

Help the IDF soldiers by sending them food! We already sold 70 pizzas,
each of them feeding 4 soldiers, and thus provided food to 280 of them.
Our minimal objective is to provide food for 1,000 soldiers, we need your
help! Buy a pizza for the IDF soldiers now.

Shalom Everyone,
It has been 3 days now that the ground operation in Gaza
started, and that IDF soldiers are fighting Hamas terrorists, in order to
protect Israeli children. Unfortunately, this did not come without losses.
We mourn the loss of 5 IDF soldiers, since the beginning of the ground
operation. May their memory be blessed.

Our thought and prayers are with their families and with all those other
young men and women fighting for freedom, security and peace, at the
expense of their lives. Here are some of the newest videos we have about
the situation, please forward these links to all your friends and

ROAD 90 LLC, 220 E. Delaware Avenue, #1027
Newark, DE 19711, U.S.A. Forward to a friend » Road 90 is the longest road
in Israel, starting in the city of Metula in the north and going to Eilat,
on the Red Sea, in the south. The purpose of this road is the same as this
website: to travel, discover and share."

This stinks. I'm assuming whoever originated this email was serious and not tongue-in-cheek. BTW, anyone have any info on these "Road 90" characters? And when did the church cease being the Light of The World and start being Israel's cheerleaders? There's no mention of the suffering of the many Palestinians, just the very few Israelis. Anyone else bugged by this?

Are you a Christian?
I'm also done with being a zionist(as I used to be).
I used to give $$$ to ministries help new arrivals in Israel from Russia, Ukraine etc....
because Israel was letting them starve and live in hovels.
The problem is, Israel doesn't allow the gospel as well. forbidding proselytizing.
John Haggee (out of Texas)whom I have great respect for in most other areas, even went so far as to say that there would be NO more preaching to Israelis. They take numerous trips a year in support of Israel.

Do they not need the gospel?
Was Jesus kind to the talmudic pharisees of his day?
He called them a den of vipers.
Talmudism and true followers of the Tanakh are worlds apart from what I understand.

Life of an American Jew in racist, marxist Israel.

Are the Israelis' human, and thus flawed? Methinks so. Are they always wrong, as their 'neighbors' always say? As our press always say? Hardly. Anyone, ANYONE, giving away parts of Israel or Israeli land, is according to Scripture, cursed. After Bush negotiated a giveaway of Israeli land, he began his plunge in affairs.
The land that was/is occupied? War booty from a war they did not start and did not want. Land the aggressors lost, and now Israel has tried to get peace by giving part of it back. So the terrorists and their 'children' use that forfeited land to attack Israel, in their quest to take the rest of Israels land. Long ago, Israel owned ALL that land, and the Arabs came in later. So why isn't Israel demanding all that land back from the Arabs? After all, they had it first, after killing all of the previous inhabitants, thousands of years ago. No Arabs, they did not come in until later.

I would still give extra money to the immigrants, there.
I don't have that much, yet.
Right now, I give where I can.

The Zionist movement is over.
Do you mean pro-Israelis?
The email sounds like it's from a synagogue, not a church, as it is started with "shalom"

Zionism still exists with more goals they want to reach, including protecting what they already have.

The Zionist organization has continued to function after the establishment of the Jewish state. It has helped to bring millions of new immigrants to Israel, encourages the teaching of Hebrew and Jewish culture abroad, lobbies for Israel with the US and other governments, and rallies support to Israel in times of crisis. However, in Israel, "Zionism" became somewhat of a pejorative, associated with government propaganda, super-patriotism and regimentation. The Labor Zionist movement, that had founded the state, eventually found itself in a minority, replaced in large part by more militant religious Zionists and the Likud party, which inherited the mantle of revisionism, carried on by a Begin after the death of Ze'ev Jabotinsky.

For awhile now I have thought this.

Christian radio is full of 503c non-profit corporate preachers that are asking for money and declaring thier support for Israel.

Jesus would be rolling in his grave if he listened to these whores prostitute themselves for the world to hear.

I suggest you watch Jesus Camp before saying what you just said.

It may make you think again.
