1. Cut frivolous spending.
2. Cut some unneeded gov jobs starting at the top.
3. Cut some pay rates of the top paid gov employees.
4. Cut unneeded gov programs.
5. Switch to 20% income tax (10% to Fed & 10% to State) No refunds, no deductions, no tax breaks, and no shelters. Disband all other forms of taxes and fees to include sales tax, inheritance tax, etc.
6. Issue a one time $10,000 check to every citizen of the USA who is living within the 50 states.
7. Supposedly, we have 147.6 million ounces left in Fort Knox at $900.00 an ounce you would have a dollar value of $132.84 Billion dollars. Sell off half of these reserves to pay off our national debt. (We can always mine more).
8. Cut all foreign aid.
9. Stop illegal immigration. (Costs too much money).
10. Push ethics in the work place and frown upon corporate greed.
11. Push for energy independence.
12. No more bailouts.
13. Time to collect a little payback from the new Iraqi gov.

1. Always a good idea, but good luck getting any sort of concensus on whay constitutes "frivolous spending." To me, frivolities include spending money on the arts, foreign aid, and many social programs. Obviously, the average liberal would completely disagree with me.

2. I agree, good bye to 90% of the president's cabinet. Let's all welcome in true democracy where virtually all issues of importance are voted on directly by the American citizens, removing the need for "representatives" who don't represent any of us in the first place, as well.

3. I also agree. It is humorous that many of our top level government officials have room & board paid for them, yet still make several times more than the average middle class family, which is expected to make payments on their homes, put food on the table, AND maintain a reasonabley comfortable existance on their paycheck.

4. 100% agree. This goes along with #1, however. I may see no need whatsoever for any government mandated & funded program for appreciation of the arts, other's opinions may differ.

5. I live in a state with no income tax. Switching to a 20% tax would actually cost me more in the long run, so I disagree. I'll opt to pay as little as possible every time, thank you. Our income taxation system is unconstitutional, anyway.

6. Disagree. Issue the check only to those who have paid at least $10,000 in income tax over their lifetime. Anyone else who gets a cut on this is essentially recieving money that is not theirs, which is socialism and is wrong.

7. Wow, that would do absolutely nothing to our federal debt. We'd need a hundred times that amount of gold to make any sort of worthwhile change to our debt, my friend. You're talking about selling some aluminum cans to help make a payment on a million dollar house.

8. Agree 100%! See #1. It sickens me that my hard earned dollars are going to anyone other than myself, my family, and whatever charitable outlet I deem them worthy to go to.

9. Agree 100%. In fact, I'd take it a step further and enact a moritorium on ALL immigration into this country until we have our feet back under us and are back in full sprint mode.

10. Pushes and frowns are meaningless. Let's instead try actually enforcing the existing laws on the books and start imprisoning corporate leaders who violate those laws. The results would be very eye opening.

11. I'll agree on this one, too. Though I'd also go back to the days of non-hollow threats and agressive stances against OPEC nations that think they can pull our strings with price fixing.

12. Agree 100%.

13. We should have done this from the start. You want energy independance, #1 best way to have acheived this would have been for this country to actually do what the chatter mouths with the protest signs claimed we were doing in the first place, laying direct claim to every drop of oil under Iraq. Unfortunately, we dropped the ball on that one big time.

Not all Americans need the stimulus. Some are rich or have good paying jobs, others are kids. Assuming 200 million people would get the $10000 you advise, that would be 2 trillion dollars. Where is that going to come from, China or the printing press?

Our current national debt stands at approximately 11 trillion dollars. $132.84 billion wouldn't even make a dent in the national debt, let along half of our gold.

I agree! Screw the rest of the world!

I agree but it will never happen. Liberals will lose to many votes if they allow illegal imigration to stop!

I agree but without ethics in goverment and amongst the citizenry it won't happen at corporate level either.

Agreed! Support the Pickens plan!

Agreed!

In summary, you have some good ideas while others are premature. However, without a bloody revolution not even your best ideas are going to come to fruition.
