Back to a barter and trade society?

Indeed. Great thread and should keep rolling. Right now I am exchanging room & board & utilities for shoveling roofs at a ski area for the snow removal business owner. How 'bout this: everyone who reads this dialogue get on their local blogs & list, and promote bartering in the discussion forums, and post barters in the appropriate section. I have allways supported a local, community based approach to business, and am inspired to try a little harder to find local products and postservices or goods for trade. And how about a movement for monthly community barter-flea markets for hard goods like furnishings, baby, household, school clothes, etc?
