I don't know that its actually considered a Phobia, but I'm scared of deep dark water. Swimming in the Lake? Nope, won't happen. I don't really know how it came about, because as kid we used to go swimming and stuff at the lake all the time...

Its developed over the past few years I think...probably around the time I first Cliff-jumped, and realized that I never hit the bottom of the Lake....and that I couldn't see it when i resurfaced. I think that had a huge psychological impact on me - as that was the last time I was ever in a lake. Last Summer a few of us went to a lake in Alberta, and everyone went in except me.. I did try though, god knows I tried. But I got that feeling in the pit of my stomach where it starts to do somersaults and knot right up.. I couldn't quite get myself to go in past my knees. Floating down the River in +35*C sounds like fun, but I just can't seem to do it. Instead I'll sit and suntan with the Beer while everyone else does.

Spiders aren't quite a phobia anymore, but they were for a long time. I used to freeze right up and just stare at them. Hoping that they wouldn't move if I took my eyes off of them. But having since moved to University where I have an outdoor entrance, I have seen my fair share of spiders. At home at my parents, I would have my dad kill them for me. But here, I have to do it myself, so gradually I'm getting over it. I saw the biggest spider I have EVER seen, out of the corner of my eye chilling out on my class schedule, and very quickly grabbed like 20 kleenex and flushed it. I can't just squish them, I need to know that they are gone. I also have that slight mentality that they might come after me for revenge lol. But like I said, it's getting better.

I know right?

Especially those baby carrots, they're so sneaky. One time ...

Sneaky AND stealth. I've never trusted baby carrots, or turned my back on them. Organic ones are the way to go.

Organic produce has an attitude!

There I said it.

It looks at me judgementally.

Organic Produce has an attitude because it KNOWS its better then chemicalized/hormoned Produce. I for one, strongly support the Organic Produce. If they ever need someone to defend them against the evil pesticided spinach - I am there.

Substitute "chemicals" and "vegetables" with "lead-based paint" and "baby-cribs" and that shows why I'm Organic. Paranoidal.

ETA: Pilates and Yoga are good for you anyway! Keeps your flexible and centered.
