It is not just about email.
Any device that has a phone in it, and any phones can be traced. Even if a phone is turned off, it still can be traced. It means people can find his
location at any time. The only way to make someone's phone untraceable is to keep it in a metal sleeve or take the battery out.
So this is a real security issue and he is putting the SS in a bad position.

Did Bush ever give a Top Secret communication.
Watch Letterman while you can and see his speeches.
Other than knowing where Obama might be and what roads
he will be on by tapping into his blackberry, the arrangements
for JFK didn't help one bit as the drive around Dallas was
plastered all over the papers.
Saved me from picking up the late addition.
ED: Tin foil blackberry pockets to protect you from incoming
Illuminati personnel rockets or invisible UFO bombs.

Come on people - it's not even about security.
He's not allowed to have it - period - end of story.
Do you not remember the Sarah Palin Email stories or thread.
He is not allowed to HIDE any of his communications - and any phone calls or emails on his private phone would be as good as hidden.
He can't do it - I don't care if you do think he is "THE ONE"

Obama will be captured by the Illuminati big time
by giving up his only link to the outside world.
He might as well be abducted by Aliens.

Yup yup yup.
Where are the people that gave it to Palin when someone hacked her email?
Seems I remember them saying something about just how careless and stupid she was.
But I guess this type of carelessness is ok now.
Aye caramba.

Does this not sound like an Ad slip-in for RIM's BlackBerry? Reuters is affiliated with the Rockefellas... It's a big propaganda media machine.
Take a good look through most of the articles and you'll notice their always promoting something, usually that indicates status....
My 2cents
What could indicate more status the the POTUS fighting to keep his BB.

I get the self-promo thing but Reuters is not the only source reporting on this.
I don't doubt the Rockefella connection but I doubt this story would really make them any richer.
You do however kinda give me an idea to postulate on theory,...
Why is it that both RIM and Bush have decided to move to the Dallas area?

... there is still both a big marketing and hacking possibility here that someone will take advantage of at some point.
“ Barack Obama’s unpaid endorsement of the BlackBerry has provided maker Research In Motion Ltd. with a marketing boost its competitors can only
dream of.
...
The moment it becomes known that Barack Obama uses his BlackBerry, you know that a significant share of Russia’s signal intelligence and China’s
signal intelligence and cyber intelligence budgets will be targeted to break it,” said Entner, an analyst with market researcher Nielsen Co. in
Boston.

What does Obama need a BlackBerry for?I mean, there are simpler, cheaper ways to get emails and phone calls.
Seems to me the BlackBerry and all "smart phones" are wholly unnecessary these days. I say we class them as "assault" phones and push to regulate
them.
Trade in your assault phone now Obama. A nice rotary connected to a land line is all you need for making calls.
I'd slap him if I could.

Ha, but on a serious note, what a coincidence we have here.
I mean think about.
Blackberry device, blackberries and black Barry, as in the first black President named Barry.
