I find some of the responses odd. Some of you are missing the point as one of the above posters stated.
We all know that the porn industry won't get money...which is exactly the problem with it. Picking and choosing who gets money is absolute BS. No
one should get a dime of taxpayer money.
I also don't know why some are so despised by this...both the government and the porn industry are in the business of screwing people!

I for one, not attempting to play the Devil's Advocate here,
do agree with the logic behind this reasoning.
If banks and their directors can commit fraud, high crimes and misdemeanors, and get money,
ALL THE WHILE, in bed with the FED, Treasury (Paulson) and Foreign Investors, (keep in mind, the mindset now-a-days is to reward those thieves who get
away with the most),
As if awarding billions to allow continued wrongdoing is much more logical than using laws in place (such as RICO) to prosecute these blatant
mis-managers of our wealth, is the logical thing to do,
Then, it stands to reason that these other industries such as Porn,
who also are in bed together, should be awarded whatever they request.
In fact, it makes more sense to award bailouts to Porn providers than to banks because not only do they provide a service that is easier to understand
than all the legal terms of instruments of the money lenders,
but they give us full discosure of what they do with the money.
If the banks, FED and Treasury were to follow the example of how the Porn industry conducts business, we would probably not be in this mess to begin
with.
It is the snowball effect from the banking debocal that has harmed the porn industry anyways.
It is a true example of "trickle down" economics.
It just seems that what is trickling down in the porn world is metaphorically the equivelent of what is trickling down in the banking world.
In my opinion, of course.

Whether or not they would actually get the money, I don't know. But the porn industry doesn't deserve a bailout. Some of these people deserve a
"black eye" for the abuse they let occur.
I don't think some of you guys understand what happens at some of these porn sets. All "you" see is a girl covered in goo and she seems happy
about it. You don't see the stuff that doesn't get published. Pain, drug abuse, bodily abuse, STDs, it does happen. Just visit the link below.
(Some of this is a bit disturbing, so consider yourself warned.)
www.shelleylubben.com...
You can go to the home page to watch some videos of ex-porn star interviews.
Some very nasty people are at the root of some of these films. They have taken something which is natural and fun (sex), and turned it into an
industry, without regard to the safety or well being of their workers.
This is not the natural, boy meats hot girl, gets erection type deal. You throw two or more people together, regarless if they like each other or not
and expect them to perform.
Some people's lives are torn apart by the porn business. Do you really want to contribute to it? Think about that before you pop in the porn DVD or
click on the porn link. Someone could be suffering, just so you can get your jollies off. You look in some of those girls eyes, and you can see it
sometimes. They don't want to be there, and they don't enjoy it. The smile, is many times, an act.
I'm no choir boy, I've seen my share of porn. Now, I don't mind a girl I love showing me her goodies, and having some fun with me. But, as far as
Porn's butchered "lovemaking" I'm done. I just can't watch it anymore, knowing people could be suffering just to make me horny.

Maybe we all should sign up for bailout money. Maybe we would get something or at least show them how dumb the whole idea is. That was the point of
the porn bail out, they were trying to prove a point that the whole thing is a dumb idea. I am gettting sick of hearing the word BAILOUT
|
Amen to that. Ultimately it's up to the individual or group to bail themselves out. You know, with better business practices, actually learning how
to run a business, how to manage and create more money, stuff like that.
Why should we even consider bailing out such things as banks or the porn industry? Banks steal from the public every day with their $39 late fees and
$39 overdraft fees on a $1 overdraft. And porn companies are like drug dealers, profiting off of misery.
Banks and credit card companies should be paying the public back for their ridiculous fees, not getting bailout money.
See my post above if you want to know about some of the ugly stuff that happens in the porn business.
