Our office in North Carolina had internet access via a Verizon Business DSL and it would go down at least four times a week, staying down for at least
eight hours each time. They gave us new modems twice and had techs onsite a dozen times. Finally, we just gave up on them and got a cable modem which
was bulletproof the whole time it was in service. If the business DSL was that bad I shudder to think how their residential service performed. Of
course, it could have just been that service area and may not reflect on the company as a whole. Good luck with yours. I hope it gets better or you
find another ISP.
