The blank expressions at work could be due to the school system dumbing us down.
However, conspiracies are "bad" by definition:
1. An agreement to perform together an illegal, wrongful, or subversive act.
2. A group of conspirators.
3. Law. An agreement between two or more persons to commit a crime or accomplish a legal purpose through illegal action.
4. A joining or acting together, as if by sinister design: a conspiracy of wind and tide that devastated coastal areas.
Although, you could say some conspiracies could be considered "good". For example there were multiple assassination attempts on Adolf Hitler. In 1944, Colonel Claus von Stauffenburg planted a bomb where Hitler was schedule to speak. (a table leg shielded him from the blast)
In 1938, a carpenter by the name of George Elser built an intricate bomb at the Burgerbraukeller Hall. Hitler finished his speech early and was saved from the blast.
Both of these are conspiratorial in nature. Whether they are bad or good conspiracies depends on what side you stand on.
PS: Excuse my ignorance, but what's a VT machine? - Your avatar is giving me a complex by the way!
