Roulette is a casino and gambling game named after the French word meaning "small wheel". In the game, players may choose to place bets on either a number, a range of numbers, the color red or black, or whether the number is odd or even. To determine the winning number and color, a croupier spins a wheel in one direction, then spins a ball in the opposite direction around a tilted circular track running around the circumference of the wheel. The ball eventually loses momentum and falls on to the wheel and into one of 37 (in European roulette) or 38 (in American roulette) colored and numbered pockets on the wheel.

BIG QUESTION?!?!?!

ARE THEY RIGGED?

When i was in the UK i was a member in a few casinos.
Paid them all a fair visit regularly.
Got some money out of it too!
My resolution?

Well games like coin maschines are definitelly rigged.
Found that through an incident that happened in front of my eyes when the management lost the network on the machines and a lot of money by the time the casino was shut to fix the ....loss !
It just happent to overhear a staff conversation and noticing in detail all happening around me.

Anyway!

I also found that the croupier had some control of where the ball landed. not an exact number but definitely a section if the croupier was experienced. Furthermore that accuracy was increased when the croupier was getting better.

So thats that!

But how far do casinos go on controling the game?

I guess if the wheel is spinning at a constant speed and the croupier throws the ball in at a consistent speed there is an increased chance of getting the ball to land in a similar area.

The croupier would have to have impeccable timing though.

Also, not all coin machines are rigged, I knew a woman who won $30,000 on a coin machine, then $50,000 a few months later.

to me this does not mean that they are not rigged. it means that they are managed, thus-rigged.

They need to throw some ash in your eyes. if its a double winner, the better since there is more emphasis and you remember...

Naturally not all coin machines everywhere are rigged, but neither are all of us steping on top of each other.

I have been told that a good croupier can "place" the ball in a certain field....
I don't know if it's true..
