talked Tuesday of the breadth of the computer-crime problem facing the country and the world at a conference in New York of many of the world's
computer experts.

That is a bold statement, but very true. The number of online crimes, identity thefts, scams, DDOS attacks, etc. has grown exponentially over the past
few years. The internet and the world network will be one of the next major battlegrounds.
Here is a snippet from one of the additional news links.
In 2015 we anticipate that the world will almost certainly experience quantum leaps in information technology (IT) and in other areas of
science and technology. IT will be the major building block for international commerce and for empowering nonstate actors. Attacks on our military,
economic, or telecommunications infrastructure can be launched from anywhere in the world, and they can be used to transport the problems of a distant
conflict directly to America's heartland. The number of FBI computer network intrusion cases has doubled during each of the past two years. Foreign or
US insiders were responsible for 71 percent of the unauthorized entries into US corporate computer networks reported to an FBI-sponsored survey last
year.
And that is just the tip of the iceberg. here are not just hackers out there, there are Hacktivists, industrial spies, organized crime, foreign
national governments, etc......all hiring hackers to do their dirty work.

Bye Bye Internet as we know it.
Internet 2 might be free but it will be slow and censored by the good 'ol FBI. I think that could mean no more ATS, Infowars, etc. they will try to
eliminate pretty much any website criticizing the government. These are the last days of being able to get the word out, soon it will be too late and
the poor sheeple will have no idea what happened.

They could care less about ATS or any other such site. What they're concerned about is the multibillion dollar industry associated with cybercrime.
Not to mention the potential for cyrberwarfare which would cripple our infrastructure and way of life. Get over this paranoia of censorship, they wont
even take down Jihadi websites let alone sit there and list what's acceptable and what's not.

That sounds ominous, almost like they are looking for a reason to crack down on using all this lovely technology... They won't try to do that will
they?  BTW, has any one ever actually met one of these terrorist's yet?

Yeah they're hanging out at the corner coffee shop advertising their expertise in cybercrime. I think I'll head there later on and meet one.
