A friend found this article for me - cities around the world are turning their backs on the standard banking system and going with their own money system.

I have mixed feelings about this - GOOD: fighting for the little guy against the big central banking system, take money control back to the local areas. BAD: this money won't pay my mortgage or other bills

I can understand the reasoning for it but how do you convince people to go along with it.

The only way people would go along with it in masses would be if a city or county/state/province government went along with it and that would put them at odds with the national government.
