Fantastic Costa Rica Ufo.

Hi I have not seen any threads started on this incredible footage,so I thought I would put it up before it gets lost amongst the sea of drivel on Youtube.

The guy (Doggytheufohunter) who captured the object, gives an excellant detailed account of the sighting and the equiptment used.

It is very rare for someone with a cool head and good camera to witness an event such as this.These video's are up there with the very best.I hope you enjoy them has much has I did.

Phew! Whats your thoughts on this amazing footage.

Still trying to put up with part three!

This is another guy filming a bright star..in this case most likely Venus, the king of this period evenings.

keywords: bokeh, defocus, cat-eye effect, airy disk, interference.
His camera has an iris mechanism which when in action form a rhombus. Many other cameras form hexagons.

Pretty boring physics. (optics).


And this guy = another crap producer.


Look for another examples from mine (i really hope they are not crap):

All of this means:
do not underestimate the image artifacts. (and the hoaxers too )

It looks like Venus to me. It doesn't move. The diamond shape is a well known effect caused by the camera's aperture iris.

Don't waste your time, this is a classic "thrown out of focus", horrible "UFO" video. The diamond shape is caused by the camera's IRIS. Don't you find it interesting that MOST "UFO" videos are out of focus?

Yes tbp,it is a large portion to digest all in one sitting.Sorry,I should have cut it into smaller posts.

Depthoffield, there is nothing in your video's that looks remotely like the ones in the OP.My initial thoughts were "yes" another video of a planet,but after watching the daylight video's. Well, judge for yourselves.

That is not daylight, it is after sunset. It has been over everybody's (including mine) house for a lot more than 4 nights. It is Venus.

I would agree, its Venus. The color definately reflects that much. The dark line in the center is something interesting.

As to the camera iris aperature, arent those usually a hexagon pattern? Never seen one that made a diamond shape. Neat!

Oh, no, not another diamond that is perfectly aligned to the camera. I'll believe them when somebody captures one whose alignment changes as the camera moves. Until then, I have to assume it is an internal camera projection.

I believe the youtuber has conceded in his comments recently that he is filming a star or venus.

7 vids of what is likely Venus. Just like the hundreds of others that have come before. This is neither fantastic nor a UFO.

I filmed another bright point of light, the Sirius bright star of the sky, and used a different camera, a high definition Panasonic SD5 model.
Now look, there is exacly the rhombus shape, and those two horizontal lines there. Happy with this?

As is said in the movie, not always what you see is the reality. Cannot ignore image artifacts, technical limitations, or other causes.

A star like Tesla ship perhaps.
Definitely surrounded by lightning.
How did he do that.

Quite simple my lads.
Put my sparky coil inside a metal craft and watch out.

Yeah, I guess he would say that.
He told that to too many people and they caught on.

This might have been the wrong post, the OP posting was not
what I commented about but a star the was clearly moving.

There might have been another video posted here that I posted about.

In any case people in New Mexico ignore the stars that never move
even with the earths rotation, because they are not stars but
vehicles in hover and they gave up talking about them.

ED: I don't do camera work so crashing into camera talk might be
an issue but should not be so.
