which would you rather do spend 3-8 years becoming a black belt or just carry a weapon of some sort in your pocket,purse etc. etc. etc. to defend yourself from thugs,punks with knives, etc. etc.etc So here's the question straight foward 3-8 or more years in martials arts or carry a weapon of any sort to protect your self.

I don't need to protect myself from "punks" or "thugs with knives".
People who actually think that they do are paranoid. The world isn't that dangerous. Stop living in fear.

I don't get hassled walking down the street by anyone except the cops....ever.


Self defense.....learn to defend yourself from yourself.

I would no doubt spend 3-8 years becoming a black belt rather than carry a firearm. Some thug can't steal my ability to kick a**, but heaven forbid they stole my firearm and used it on some innocent victem, or heaven forbid they steal it and throw it in a bush somewhere for some child to find.

Just my opinion.

i kinda do both, i know how to fight, VERY well, and i keep a knife in my backpack, just in case, I'm not dumb, i know i probably wont need the knife, but I've made a lot of people angry at me, and don't want to take the chance
