Fascinating... and here i thought i was the only "all seeing eye/I"

All kidding a side, this would be a huge break-through for scientific exploration... enabling remote robots to gather more relevant data in places that are to dangerous and/or expensive for us to travel... ie ocean floor & planet exploration

...but as you had eluded to there is a darkside to these advancements.

It's just a matter of time, big brother will be everywhere.
