More links for the pilgrim fathers in America.

www.britannia.com...

www.probertencyclopaedia.com...

It's ironic that they escaped to live a life free from religious persecution only to turn out religious bigots themselves.

Thankyou, not a total failure ;o) Thankyou for the links.
These names are all street names in the town i grew up: Bradford, Brewster, Cushman, Standish, and Carver.
I do feel that the orginal intentions are still yet to be realised. I cannot agree with the biggot remark as it is gereralizing people, but i do see where you come from. The think is with the UK, you can change the rulers, but you do not change the people. I think british people are loyal to their country and its people and not to their rulers, i would like to say the same with America but i the impression that America needs to feel guided by their leaders or inspired even. In my opinion, the goverment is there to represent the public, and protect the intrests of the country and its citizens. If there is somethhing the Majority of the general public feel strongly about then our voice is usually heard.
