Apologies: Video of Carnage in Gaza Market is a hoax
www.uruknet.info
We, like many other websites, posted a video allegedly showing the aftermath of an IDF air strike on a Gaza market.
The video turned out to be disinformation: it was not shot three days ago, as indicated by the link, and has nothing to do with the current conflict.
It is actually from 2005. It was taken in the Jabalya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, when a pickup truck carrying homemade rockets detonated
by mistake during a Hamas rally.
Our apologies to our readers. (visit the link for the full news article)

War is war, and information is distorted... "Trust, no one!"
I posted this video here also yesterday, because it show such a devastation, that havent ever seen before. I give my apologies too, but how can we
know, what is happening now, and what happened years ago?
Gaza is fully blocked, no international press is allowed in, so how can we know the truth... We cant.
Material is floating in, and we are the victims of all information... That is part of war, and we should accept that as fact. Like Israel is using all
the methods, supporters of Palestine are using also.
This is war in all fronts.

And how do you know the link you posted about the video isn't disinformation itself? How do you know the video wasn't shot 3 days ago? Just because
of this 1 article? Like you said trust no one. So why apologize? You could be falling for the propaganda yourself. Just because this article says the
video is a hoax doesn't necessarily make it so.

Hey, Op. Your job is only to bring information to the table. I agree with the above poster in that you shouldn't apologize. I believe truth is the
most important thing and that in the search for truth the ends justify the means. Have you thought of how you've affected the people who are unaware
of the level of disinformation out there? Or WERE unaware i should say, cause now they know!

Well thanks for being honest sir.
Some people would have let that get swept under the rug.
As I said earlier on another thread and got heat for it.
What good would I be to ATS if I was not honest.
True nature of Hamas
Thanks for coming forth

I want to give you a big for this post. If only Israel and Hamas acted this way... Imagine, admitting you were wrong. Great find, and I thank
you.
On a side note, one thing that really bothered me about the video was that in a few shots people seemed to be holding the dead and injured up to the
camera. It didn't seem like a natural reaction to such a horrific event.

Exactly why was nobody giving first aid?
It seemed that they were more concerned with getting it on tape

Agreed. You hear people saying Hamas is supposed to help the people. Well, learn first aid and apply it when your fellow man is bleeding in the
street. All the 'men' running around with rifles seemed more intent on stirring up emotion. Before I got my concealed pistol license I took a first
aid class. My intent with both certifications was to be able to help my fellow man in times of crisis.

I think the main point here is Yes the video is from another event some time ago but I'm sure that this is the kind of death and destruction to
human life and property is going on in Gaza right now!!!
I'm 6 foot and built like a Ape and this video sent tingles all over my body and made my eyes water .....It makes me mad that we the human race have
not learned a dam thing over our history......

Original source "RawStory" was also apologizing from this Video Hoax, so I can trust that as fact. If the blame came from other direction, but
original source just would keep their story, then I should consider my own stance between them... Now it came clear that it was hoax - and sorry is in
its place.

Mistake was not mine, but I was part of great mistake - My sorry is honest.

Yep - my soul mate...
Like I said in first topic: "Worst truth that I have ever seen" Still keeps it value... - That was not hoax. I havent seen more horrible
video before, never. I had very strange difficulties in my breathing, when I first looked the clip, and saw childrens there in blood...
But there is good too; it only shows that we are strong guys. Motions doesnt make us weak, no, motions are fuel to our passions. - And passions are
needed, when life gets harder.

Yeah, you think you're a real tough SOB until you see kids maimed and killed. I've probably seen too much death in my young years, but watching a
child's life being extinguished really affects me. I'm not picking a side, a child dying is a tragedy regardless of political/ideological
affiliation. I've seen some truly gruesome things, but the one I can't get out of my head is a little girls shoe on the street after being hit by a
car.

Want to know how you can make sure bad info doesn`t get around? Just stop posting it. It`s already all over the TV, why the need to run it down
everyones throat here? Like we don`t know already? Please, give it a break. I`m sure people are aware of the war by now, no need to run it into the
ground.

If Israel did not block out international news coverage then there wouldnt be this "is this real or not" nonsense going on.
The fact that Israel has the entire Gaza area plus a 4 mile zone all around it blocked off to journalists, well that right there raises a huge red
flag to me that Israel does not want the world to see what is really going on there.
What other reason would there be to have a complete media blackout?
We did not do that during the Iraq war, nor Afghanistan war, nor Desert Storm, and not even did that in Vietnam or Korea or WWII.
So whats with the blockade of media Israel? Dont want the world to see the real deal? Or is it that your so used to blockading everything that its not
just food and medicine this time, but international journalisim too?
And they expect no suspicion? No one will question?
PFFT!!!
Cheers!!!!

Human Rights Watch is very concerned from facts you mention...
www.hrw.org...
# Allow journalists and humanitarian agencies access to Gaza and ensure that any restrictions on access and movement for genuine security grounds
be temporary, subject to regular review, and only imposed to the extent absolutely necessary.
To FiatLux,
I dont watch TV.

Yea, so? Does that mean you have to start a new topic everytime? Why not just add it to the first one you started, instead of making a dozen new ones?
