Just curious,
Why do the ATS Big Threads say "Subject to more strict moderation" instead of "Subject to stricter moderation?"

 Sorry, couldn't resist.
I'm not sure why it's spelled out in that way either. I also don't know why it's supposed to be 'Ten items or fewer' instead of 'less'. The
English language is weird, but I'm sure there is a reason.

Speaking realistically, grammar has been in the hole for years. Ever since the internet and that famous first LOL was sent. New-speak has changed
mostly everything, and especially in the english language.

Because it's funner that way.
Edit. Poop. Sorry. Just realized this was a serious BBQ thread on ATS. When I saw it, it was in the BTS menu. Wasn't paying attention to the forum it
was in (assumed it was in General Chit Chat due to the white font) or else I wouldn't have made the above joke.
The serious answer is because mistakes happen. There have been typos on ATS reported before. Even in images and forms.

Its evolution of the new global language.
I'd rather talk in grunts.. it'd be easier to understand everyone and there would be no need for small talk.

Actually, 'more fun.' I was being silly because I was going off the BTS menu post and didn't realize you were bring up an actual board issue. I
typically don't make jokes on ATS. Sorry.

Funner? Surely you meant funnerer right? I'm about to call my Mom and get an answer for the OP. She's an English Nazi. To this day I am scared
to say 'Me and...'

I called, and the English Nazi has spoken. You are correct. Both are acceptable, but your version makes more sense as it uses fewer words. She's
got a Masters in English, so I assume she is correct.

Man, that would have taken me about a year to write. I can always read that stuff, but if I was asked to type it would be an epic fail lolz.

Shouldn't that be Masters' in English?
I'd love to see her expression as you point that one out
