Yer a funny one. I suppose all that info is helpful. I think I need to install a panic button and a big flashing light so I can be prepared for the
monsterquakes. then hit it and run around in circles screaming.

Anyone else noticed the increased activity in the New Madrid fault area lately. It seems like usually there is maybe a quake a week in the area
showing up but lately there seems to be a lot more. Hopefully it's just pressure being released gradually...

Living in the area, yeah; I've definitely noticed more little quakes than usual.
New Madrid and all the little faults around the area have loads of micro-quakes all the time. too small to bother putting on the list. We usually get
a single 1-1.5 a week. Recently it's been 1's and 2's, several a day.
I can't feel them all the way in St. Louis, but I've been having periods of feeling ... tense - for lack of a better word. When I remember, I check
the website and sure enough, there was a bit of movement.
I'm not worried at all though.

We're moving back into the Full Moon phase guys, keep your eyes peeled.
I also had a very odd dream of waking up and checking the PC, went to CNN's website and there was a major headline saying *three* 8.0 earthquakes
hit--in the dream, I didn't see where.. but it was like 8.0, 8.3, and 8.1. Just was a freaky dream (hope that doesn't come true)

I didn't notice an increase of activity in the new madrid area.'
I will keep my eye up.
thanks.
if you are into the new madrid...read a fictional book by a guy named Walter Williams called THE RIFT.
It's fictional, but alot of inserts of witness account from the 1811 quakes, overlayed with the story of what would happen today if they got 'the
big one'
the rift

Whoa... a 5.3 off the coast of Seattle. From the data I am watching, I think we'll see a 7.0+ near the subduction zone near Washington. If you live
in or near Washington or Seattle, be on alert for activity...
The Pacific plate's 'pressure' is now hitting this area.

Just a heads up -
Today as we all know there was a 6.6 in Canada -
Now as result - southern ca is shaking up.
The last one was a 3.4 - which is higher than the last 3 -
Colorado, New Mexico and Oklahoma have also seen some recent activity.
Keep you purses, keys and shoes by your bed tonight.
