Could you idiots be any more sheep than you are? This phrase came from a LIBERAL NEWSPAPER; the Los Angeles Times where he was called "Obama, the Magic Negro". Fox was simply reporting it. Where is your outrage when CNN refused to report on Obama's ties to Tony Rezko or Jeremiah Wright.

I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and see how he does. And I watch BOTH CNN and Fox to get a full view. Can you claim the same? People like you would laugh that Bush can't swim if he walked on water.

First & foremost, this term was "coined" by the LA Times early in the past election cycle as a derisionist comment because they were ardent Hillary supporters and they were trying to diminish him as a "rising star" in the party.

It DIDN'T, I REPEAT, DIDN'T come from Fox News or anybody the right!

Although it WAS picked up and propagated by the right for many months.

I've personally referred to "Barry" by this nickname because I DON'T trust him, respect him, or have ANY respect for his EXTREMELY limited voting record, his past personal "friendships", "associations" and"allies". I was NOT a McCain supporter either (Bob Dole 2008). I have also referred to him as "The Messiah", "The Chosen One" and many more NON "racist" nicknames. I don't care if the guy's green, I saw through him very early on and was NOT impressed with what I saw or heard.

I wish him "luck" and hope that a majority of his supporters are pleased with the results that they get from their support...

GOP has FoxNews, Dems have CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC and just about all the rest. However I do not care what the color of president-elect's skin color is. He is a politician. We need to save money and just elect the better liars. Oh wait a minute that is the status quo.

What the heck is a Magic Negro anyway?

Is it some type of Leprechaun from Africa or something?

Some Hollywood agency should run with it because it certainly is deserving of some children's cartoon, JibJab or some SNL like skit.

...think about it, The Adventures of Barry the Magic Negro.

Why do so many of you have trouble understanding what intent is? It doesn't matter who "coined the phrase". Intent.

Intent.
Intent.
Intent.
Intent.

Not that difficult to understand. You can tell when someone is saying, "Hey dumb#$$" jokingly, and when they are trying to offend you. It's intent and it's the context it is used it.

Use your brains here. If you can't concede this fact, you are hopeless.

I agree totally.

This generation which did not live through the rate hate which happened in America, reaching a climax in the 60's, have a second hand idea of what racism really is.

The amount of 12 year old internet experts I've seen proclaim "That's racist that is" about something which is totally unrelated, beggars belief. I've started to wonder if it's some new type of internet joke which I'm too old to understand.

Thats Hillarious.

Fox newa is allways hillarious just watching there bias views on things.
An when they have a guest on talking about a subject they know about an then the fox news crew try an argue there point trying to make the guest look inferior in there argument is priceless.

If you want "close to unbias" news watch the BBC news an BBC world news
you get a much wider scope of news storys often about the world too not just north america.

You say it's hopeless yet ironically the text messaging Fox viewer is optimistically hopeful.

The way I see it, racism is dead.
Henceforth, every racial slur made will be meaningless and should be completely ignored.

One thing I never understood about is... wth people from USA use "latin-american", "afro-american", "italo-american" .... what the point of this? To me is another way to be kinda "racist"

To me all they are just a bunch of US americans... I don't give a s*** if their father, grandfather or whatever come from some other country. The mind set of people that live there is "US american".

We should have a black person here to FREELY say his comment about this incident.

And what if Obama fixes the economy? "Wins" the Iraq War. Fixes illegal immigration?

What would the conservatives say then? He was a puppet controlled by white advisers?

Why doesn't the intent of the person that coined the phrase matter?

Could it be because he is a liberal that works for a liberal newspaper?

This has nothing to do with intent, it has everything to do with doublestandards and hypocracy.

The words are contextually designed to cut Barak Obama "down to size"; the meaning is drenched in belittlement by irate political foes.

Whoever, whatever, made the remark, it is designed to remind everyone that the new POTUS is not 'one of us white people'. There are a myriad names to call the man; why resort to this? It was a slap at every black person in the USA._javascript:icon('')

Everytime you think FOX can not slip lower in muckraking and disinformation, it reaches
new depths. I think the remark was meant to be demeaning, disrespectful and snide.

And it does not matter who we the citizens of the US vote for because the electoral college decides for us.
