lol, only hillbillies and rednecks watch fox, what did you expect them to send in?

Sure because the rest of the intouch "smart" people, such as yourself, of this country watch the always trusted CNN and MSNBC...or some other MSM outlet that lies and sways people just as bad as FOX.

Actually my friend, it's been quite some time since I've watched anything issued by MSM news outlets.

CNN, it's been probably 4 years since I've checked them as a source. Last time was during a debate, and even that I didn't trust.

MSNBC, about 6.

So no, people such as myself don't check MSM news sources for our information.
We'll watch segments posted by others linking to them, as a half hearted attempt to find humor, but we typically won't trust anything they say.

As of current times, almost every western news outlet is biased in some way shape or form. They are either pro Republican, pro Democrat, or simply pro America. They won't show anything that could be considered a mistake by the party they support, and they certainly wont show anything that could be considered a mistake by America.

BBC has the same problems, only trust them if it has NOTHING to do with Britain or it's allies. (Very seldom).

Russia Today is only good so long as it has nothing to do with Russia.

CBC is only good for Canadian politics... on the world spectrum, they're rather uninformed.

Al-Jazeera is pretty good for world news, so long as it has nothing to do with the middle east.

Reuters is good, so long as it has nothing to do with NATO countries.

Each news source has it's problems... the free independent news agencies are pretty good at showing all sides... but their coverage is pretty bad.

So no, I don't trust news sources as you might believe. I check many sources before believing anything.
I ALLWAYS want to see all sides, whether I agree with them or not.

I find it very hard in todays age to trust anyone, let alone a news agency that has to pander to one organization or another in order to get it's income.

I am almost positive that this was not a slip. They have people send in text messages to be displayed on TV and they let one slip. In my mind there would be so many people sending in text that they would have to pick which ones they were going to run and you know what that means...

I don't think Fox just let this "slip" by................it was intentional.

That has to be about the silliest comment I've read. Using logic, you would have realized that all 301 million cannot vote. According to Nov. 2007 numbers (www.census.gov...), 73.9 million are under 18 and cannot vote.

So using your numbers, if 136 million of the 227 million eligible voted, that works out to nearly 60%. Sadly, still a relatively low number, but actually quite high compared to most recent US elections.

when I first saw this guy's post, I was glad to see that there is still some wit left on these forums. I hope, in time, you will understand the sarcasm he was trying to convey.

Should I add it to the list?

It's not on any list - but is it really necessary -
and do you think it has any positive effects at all?

Yes it does have a positive effect: the more it is used, the more it will desensitize people to it's effects. After a while, it will lose it's offensiveness.

That isn't positive. That's ridiculous. Why use it at all?
It is intended as a derogatory remark. Come on - we all know that - don't we?
It's like being in first grade. Can we please get out of first grade?!
