Ooh, ooh, someone said "Negro", I saw it on Fox, ooh, ooh call 911.
Here we go, you idiots and your usual racist accusations. I suppose we have at least 4 more years of this "someone looking to be offended" garbage,
sigh.
Was your angst quite so elevated when the Rev. Jeremiah Wright accused white people of inventing AIDS to kill blacks, or when Jesse Jackson admitted
he enjoyed spitting in white people's food, or even when the Black Panthers were filmed using force to prevent whites from entering polling stations.
Nahh, of course not.
But you'll all be sat there with your spectacles perched on the end of your curved beaks, and fingers poised over the keyboard to express your moral
outrage when the next Republican makes a quip about Obama picking cotton, or liking watermelon.
Seriously, we have a black president, I think you hall monitors can take a day off, your mission here is complete.

As if Americans needed any more reminders of how closely aligned with the Republican party the Fox News network is, New Year's Eve brings us
this new tidbit.
During it's broadcast from New York City, the network encouraged viewers to send in text messages which, if approved by moderators, would scroll
across the Fox ticker at the bottom of the screen.
Moderators, however, let this one slip: "HAPPY NEW YEAR AND LET’S HOPE THE MAGIC NEGRO DOES A GOOD JOB. LOVE JEN AND JOHN C." (visit the
link for the full news article)
Oh my god that is funny.
Not a one line post.

Quick history/sociology lession: most African Americans are a "mix of some crazy amount of races" as a result of interbreeding with slave masters.
"I am not racist by ANY means but if african americans are so equal then why do they make such a big deal out of anything one of them does?"
-I think you just proved my point: most bigotry occurs on an uconcious level. The history of this country, and the subject of this thread in
particular, has shown that African Americans are NOT treated equally, and their reaction is in a large part the result of that.
"If they truly wanted to be equal (which I believe they are by all means) then they would take such an event as one of their own race becoming
president in stride."
-Care to elaborate on that? I can't recall how many posts I flagged as abusive on other threads saying "There will never be an N-word in the white
house." (only they didn't use N-word) after Barack Obama won his party's nomination. So please explain how AAs should take this "in stride".
Throughout the Civil Rights era, poll after poll showed that most whites thought that blacks were being treated equal to themselves, which was
definitely not the case -then or now.

 at this thread.
What's worse than Fox News letting it "slip" past? The apologists on this board who actually justify the statement by saying it's the Spanish
version of black. No #$#@.
That doesn't change the connotation. First of all, if they were trying to talk in Spanish it would have been the persona negro, or some other way to
attach negro to a noun.
Negro was used as a noun, not an adjective. It was not the Spanish "neg-er-o", it was the redneck "knee gro".
Screw it and all of you people who stick up for this nonsense. You are less American than those who bombed the twin towers. You ruin what is a great
country with your ignorance and hate.

co-sign
democrats proved this year
the way they treated *cut off one of their own's head* (Hillary)....
they sacrificed the woman for the presidency
they brutally took her down
then they took it to another level,...with Palin
they used an attack dog (Tina Fey), they used an actress as a pawn, as their little doggy, their pet, to destroy Palin's image.
Katie from the Nightly News, .... flies with Barack to Europe...goes on tour with Obama...then you saw the attitude, the snippet-ness, the nasty-ness
even, she treated Sarah Palin with.
Such animosity.
No, I say no...these democrats...
they've lost the moral high ground.
they were despicable this past election cycle.
just awful.

I don't think the issue here is, "was this a racist remark?" The comment was derogatory and condescending even if you left out the word negro.
Make no mistake, Fox news knew exactly what they were doing when the let this get by. They like the rest of MSM have an agenda to further divide us
any way possible. Racial tensions are at the forefront of this country right now so that is the most obvious way the media goes after us to get us to
turn on each other for the powers that be. They are doing a pretty good job, wouldn't you say?
Regardless, lowering themselves to this standard is just plain childish, and the best way to deal with a child when they are throwing a tantrum is to
ignore them. That is what we should do. Do not give them the attention they are seeking.

Try about 40-50% here in America atleast......You need to count the secret racists who only use the word when it is safe too , yet act like they are
against it.
Know so many people like that..............few friends too :-(

Yeah, it's funny how the secret racists will even pretend like they aren't bigots when behind a computer; but if you are at a bar with them and a
person of a different race does something weird, they'll be the first to whisper something stupid in your ear.

You know what? Piss off. I didn't see any uproar from the likes of you when the media criticized Sarah Palin, or when SNL made fun of blind Governor
David Paterson or any other public figures. Calling people unAmerican as the people who flew planes into the WTC buildings, ultimately resulting in
some people to jump to their deaths so their families would have a chance to ID their remains? Whatever. You just PO'ed cuz Barack be yo boy and
someone in the media is makin fun of him.
I'd just as soon make fun of BO as any Democrat, thanks.

What criticism of Sarah Palin? Did they say she was a woman and therefore inferior? Not that I heard (though I did hear them say that about Hillary
and it was ridiculous), and I am not sure about the whole blind joke on SNL - never saw it.
There is a big difference between criticizing Sarah Palin and calling someone a magic negro. And yes, I think that anyone who can say such hateful
things with a straight face is as dangerous to this country as the terrorists we fight against.

What criticism of Sarah Palin?
Googling "Attacks on Sarah Palin" gives 5,530,000 results.
Googling "attacks on Sarah Palin's family" gives 2,970,000 results.
I'm sure there are a few in there that even you'd admit were below the belt.

Probably. I don't usually delve into the blogger, no-holds-barred "news" sites, so I may have missed some. If they were misogynistic in any way
or otherwise hateful, then I suppose you could probably lump a few of them into my "as dangerous as the terrorists we fight..." category.
