So who would I look to and be naturally suspicious? This isn't all that hard to understand. Who was the male adult in the Belway sniper team. Oh. That's right John Muhammed. But don't anyone worry about Muslims. They are a peaceful religion. Until you turn on the TV or read the papers

Exactly the reason why you are so ignorant, have you not learnt anything on ATS? IE: being fed propaganda, being told what they the PTB want you to think is real?

Wake up before you end up a victim, or someone ends up as a victim, because you are looking in the wrong direction.

Have you never taken a flight, were you didn't think it would be nice to sit next to a door? or close to a door just in case? there is nothing wrong with wanting to be safe at all, when that becomes a crime then everyone is in a lot of trouble.

I personally hope the airline or whoever did this, is taken for every penny they can get, because they deserve it, and maybe others will listen, and this kind of thing will stop in future.

I for one am sick and tired of living in a world full of hate, how about anyone else?

OMG man this is 2009, where have you been the past eight years. You dont mess with airline security. When you are allowed to enter the plane you need to behave, that means no discussing safe spots, bombs, terrorist, etc, etc. In fact I will now fly this airline because of this matter. We live in a day and age where you dont joke around and you certainly need to think before you speak in public(PERIOD) I believe this airline did the right thing, in fact if they hadnt done nothing and something did happen then just the oppisite ,you guys would be on here badmouthing they airlines for not doing more. This world is so full of hippocrits. Our worlds has become painful place to exist, Im ashamed to be a human being. So many ppl live behind so many walls because of the actions of so few and the rants of idiots. The internet has been a great tool for learning but it has also given every crazy loon a pulpit to preach from, Im not sure if the internet's pros outwieght its cons at the moment.

I have a friend that was on a delta flight that saw 2 mid twenty white, american guys pulled from a plane because they were telling other passengers that the mid section was the worst place to be seated and if the plane crashed they would be the first to go. Sounds to me like pretty much the same thing. Why does it always boil down to someone(like you) pulling the race card. Most of the time that card is pulled is when they know they are beaten and have no other way of winning an argument except to call someone racists. Very Sad

You are right that private companies have this right to call out potentially dangerous situations. And though this is unfortunate, it is not anything like the times of black segregation. Nothing. This sort of modern discrimination is a safety issue not a hate fueled one. I doubt this happened:

Shadowy airport exec: "As we all know, the filthy Moslems continue to travel on our planes despite our personal efforts to eject them as often as possible. Redouble your efforts and search for any excuse to discriminate against them. I do not want them feeling welcome."

NO

It's more like there is one flight marshal or concerned flight crew member that is having to make this decision knowing that either way, there could be an issue or embarrassment.

Option 1: Let the people stay on the plane and let their comments go. They are paying customers and they are in all probable likelyhood alright. If other passengers are disturbed by their words, try to calm them. Be aware of the family, but try not to make them uncomfortable. After all, it was probably just a poor choice of words.

Option 2: Feeling that there could be a danger to the plane and passengers, and being unwilling to risk a hijacking, ask them to leave the plane politely, but discretely. Know that there will be ramifications in the media once this gets out. They probably were not a problem and just squeemish of flying, but at its core your job is to ensure the safety of passengers aboard the aircraft, not to appease or make potentially life-threatening choices for the sake of comfort.

Either one is a potential choice and a decision has to be made which may not be popular. It is not racism, it's reason.

Face it people - right now, people are wary of Muslims because radical Muslims have shown themselves to be killers of men, women and children, without pardon. You want forinstances, we can give them to you. The media never lets up.

* A 13-year old girl reports being raped and Islamist Militants label HER a whore and stone her to death while over a thousand watch in a stadium. (
www.nytimes.com...)

* 65 year old woman gunned down by Muslims after a prominent Somali cleric called on all Muslims to kill Pope Benedict XVI for his remarks about Islam (www.boston.com...)

* In Toronto, a Muslim father kills his OWN DAUGHTER just for not wearing a Hijab (www.breitbart.tv...)

* London - Muslim father orders his daughter killed for falling in love with a non-Muslim man (www.foxnews.com...)

* Saudi Arabia - Muslim father kills his daughter for converting to Christianity (www.worthynews.com...)

* UK - Muslim husband kills his wife and family because of their Western ways (www.independent.co.uk...)

* Pakistan - A Pakistani Muslim pours kerosene on his wife and daughter and burns them alive, accusing the daughter of having an affair on her husband and his wife of not stopping it (www.expressindia.com...)

* Australia - Muslim man kills wife because daughter converted to Christianity (sweetness-light.com...)

* Canada - Muslim kills teenage daughter for defying Sharia (crushliberalism.com...)

These are just a few examples from simple Google searches. Go ahead and continue blaming people for being "ignorant" and perpetuating ignorance, but if you do, you have to acknowledge the fact that there are many Muslims out there also perpetuating the fear and paranoia by doing stupid crap like the above examples. I think, to a certain extent, people have a right to be afraid of Muslims.

Quite right, when did you ever hear a Muslim blame their religion. There's true ignorance for you.

Your particular brand of John Lennon idiocy is the kind that gets people killed.

You are a member of a growing band of ivory tower dwellers who believe that a smoking hole filled with the body parts of 300 dead people is somehow morally superior to the notion of causing offence to a Muslim passenger.

What about the great acts of terrorism in Central and South America, against civilians, at the behest of US Corporate and military interests? Where those enrolled in the School for the America's all Muslim?

Didn't think so.

The who idea that "All terrorists are Muslim" isn't even remotely accurate. Terrorism knows no religion, race, or creed. It only knows intolerance, cruelty, and circumstance.
