wierd plane over florida

<<  1    2  >>

Topic started on 1-1-2009 @ 08:28 PM by legacyv

Well i was outside of my house getting mail and i looked up cause i heard a plane and i saw a black plane with somthing thats kind of hard to describe on the back of it. Then what spooked me cause i thought it was dropping bombs or somthing, the wings lit up red and orange like it was on fire and then the glowing stopped and went out of sight.

And i was wondering if anyone has an idea of what this is because iam not to good with names of the planes so an information is helpfull.

Welcome to ATS

Does this look like it? If so it could just be the TR-3B

YouTube Link

Also what time was the sighting? Have a camera ready tomorrow and the next few days also make sure you capture some background in the video so we can judge distance and size thanks

And again welcome.

Florida is pretty big, which part of Florida did you see this plane?

Personally didn't notice anything unusual about tonight's night sky, nor did I see any strange planes.

Might have been a combat AWACS painted in dark colors. They have a large dome on top and it looks like a Saucer riding on top of an airliner!

Without a better visual description its hard to say, can you draw a picture? However crude it might be images work better at describing inanimate objects than words, especially if the observes is not familiar with such things.

Slayer has anyone debunked that video? I hate to say it, but it looks fake to me just because it is so good looking. I know that sounds stupid to say... but after seeing that Star Wars video where he has Star Wars ships in San Fran I am starting to doubt everything. I miss the good old days when it was a lot tougher to fake things...

That looks like a well known debunked footage of a tr-3b.

Well there are several parachute flares deployed by aircraft, however these too would fall somewhat and would be quickly left behind by the aircraft they were deployed from.

Not that an AWACS deploying such makes sense.
