Fleabit, show us anywhere where anyone mentioned an evil government conspiracy. There is no conspiracy here, we are just concerned with the military
attending civil events.
The only one talking about a conspiracy is you guys This is basically about those who are concerned and those who aren't.

They have up until now, right?

I'm having trouble here. Are most of you conspiracists saying that the Constitution is being violated (a theory that has been thuroughly debunked),
or are you saying that the Constitution itself is flawed?
It seems most of you are asserting the Constitution is flawed.

Actually I think(just my opinion) that most here are saying that something is going on where we are starting to get used to seeing the military slowly
being intergrated into "police" type situations..
Now this may be truly coincidental, and there may not be anything "sinister" about it.. but, 20 years ago you would never have seen the national
guard being used to augment the civilian police, other than an actual emergency situation..
So the "conspiracy" comes from the fact that it seems that the Nationalguard in several states are being used more and more often as a
"preventative" force, instead of a "reactionary" force..
I personally am finding this a bit unsettling.. I do not as yet see anything malicious or threatening about it, but the "paranoya" meter is starting
to jump just a tad...

i think this is all too funny. like i said before many posts ago, the guard have been supporting events in KY for years.
its not a fear factor or a plan to make the public accept military patrols. its an added force...which mostly will be underarmed compared to what
local and state police carry, and is also good MP training. also you have to understand that the guard needs civilian events to keep up with its
training mandate. or would you rather us have ALL classroom instruction and NO hands on experience? would it make you feel better if we all wore
police uniforms?
i can assure you that NO m16s or M4s or anyother type of small arm or machine gun is flashed during said events. no body armour is worn, no military
working dogs are released (or called upon), no grenades or rockets or missles or bombs...just some normal people, who do a job for a pay check. no
different than a police officer or s.w.a.t. officer.
which speaking of, there are just not enough police to deal with some main events. if you took 75% of all police and placed them at an event, some
people doing double shifts, then you sure as hell dont want only 25% patroling the rest of the city. and its not just police, its medical and service
mechanics ect...the guard isnt there to intimidate or place a certain fear into people. its to help the community. and being a military policeman,
if this were to be an ongoing plot to familiarize the public with the military, which means MORE deployments...i can see a sharp decline of unit
strength and numbers. so i doubt that is the main 'behind the door' plan.
too funny.
