The Yellowstone Volcano Observatory in the recent Status Report doesn't appear to be saying this activity is unusual or alarming.

Swarms of this nature are relatively common in this part of Yellowstone Park.

YELLOWSTONE VOLCANO (CAVW#1205-01-)
44.43°N 110.67°W, Summit Elevation 9203 ft (2805 m)
Volcano Alert Level: NORMAL

Yes, I think you are correct.
bowling ball, curling stone,,, what is bigger?
I tried to explain to my kids that the plate tech is like when they scoot and slide the table cloth. Pretty soon a ripple will break and surface.
I hope when this happens that it is more like a slow leek in a tire and not a blow out.
will check back in later.
nice talk with you.

I think I replied in your thread I can see Mt Baker quite clearly from where I live in Canada and it didn't appear to have changed from my viewpoint. It's very big and snow covered, giving the illusion it's within very close range.

I hate to tell you, but in the event that Yellowstone should erupt, TPTB will NOT warn us.

An extinction level event or near extinction level event will NEVER be announced - there is no way to evacuate or control the mass panic.

They won't call an evacuation as a precaution ahead of time - most people wouldn't comply anyway, and by the tie they did - because people KNEW it was coming - it would be too late to clear out the area in time.

There are times when TPTB feel that keeping silent is the best option & help the ones who are likely to survive

You do know that reading all the pages in a thread before posting is a good idea, right?

We established that on the first 2 pages.

Back on topic, the area does appear to be quieting down a bit.

Yeah, it helps when you update pages...

It does look like there are a few more quakes on the way in the area.
