I have no room to talk - since I've chosen more than a few less than uplifting pieces to deposit here in your totally uplifting thread

I actually do understand how less than uplifting can uplift - works for me

but Memories? Really?

forgive me for this - I know people loved it - but I disliked that musical so much it made me want to hurt myself

I do like that one song - no apologies

also - that other song - the low point? I actually kinda liked that too - what do you suppose that means?

It just means you've got a taste for the bizarre - which I share.

and I won't laugh - as someone who grew up with Mr. Rogers - I like knowing he's proud of us too

I've sent that out to a bunch of people, and you'd be surprised the people who laugh, or outright ignore it - just because it's Mr. Rogers. I know it was "cool" to laugh at him when I was growing up, but we're adults now. I appreciate and love the show in so many ways now.

On a related note, check out his acceptance speech when he received the Lifetime Achievement Emmy. He had half the audience in (happy) tears.

cynics all -

there really are people just like Mr. Rogers - I've met some of them - though they didn't have their own TV show :-)

even if I didn't know it was possible - I'd still want to believe it was possible

I'm an odd duck and I know I've thought on more than occasion that I need a Mr. Rogers in my life. Who knows the good it could do me (liking me just the way I am).

Anything is possible. Even if I haven't seen it, I have to believe it's true.
