I wouldn't say he was "anti-jesus."

I mean no offense to anyone, but come on now, he was afterall, a Brit.
On top of that, a secular artist that was ahead of his time.

Anti religion, which means he was probably anti-Budha as well.

So am I, Sir.

He wasn't entirely anti-religion, I wouldn't say. I think it was more the problems associated with religion in our world. You can be sure that he would have agreed with certain teachings from both Christian and Buddhist schools of thought. I'm pretty much "anti-religion," and I do.

Wouldn't you both agree that many christian philosophies originated from Buddhism?

I can only speak for myself; but I would agree, yes.

I love the song. John Lennon evolved quickly over his too short life. Sometimes he would expound in a way that was completely atheistic and others he would seem more conciliatory and spiritual. But he never seemed mainstream religious, and he seemed to question most everything, with the possible exception of Yoko Ono. Early in the Beatles career his brashness was refreshing, and, in spite of some foolish and silly acts on his part, I admired him and his wealth of work.
