To answer your question it wouldn't be helpful to look at our Government in terms of good or bad personalities. As with any system of power there are good people who work in it and there are the "it" people who are in on it, who are in on knowledge and have power. The latter tend to be the more powerful and while the good people are trying to help the country grow more the latter wants to create a world government and get as much money and power as they can. Politics is a game of power and listening to people Those who are in it for power just want more control and there are those in our Government who actually want to help people and truly care for the people. People who fall into the group that just wants power just think of the constitution as a sheet of paper and that it isn't important. Bush falls into that group

When hasn't the USG had a bi-polar personality? That is a good question, though. Some people who work for the USG truly do care about 'the people' that they work for, and generally do their best to do what is right by us. But there are some who are out mainly either for themselves or sell themselves and their souls to the highest bidder. And those are the types that unfortunately rise to the top in America. The ones that do care about 'the people', ones like JFK, RLK, MLK, etc, sometimes get cut down before they should by 'lone gunmen.'

LOL!!! Now thats a question every news reporter should ask right after the swearing in come January!! Heh, bi-polar disorder!! HAHAHA!! Good one!!

No the US government is a schizophrenic with multiple personalities.

Even members of the same party can not agree on what there party is much less how the government should be run.
And you have two+ party's trying to run the country two+ ways at the same time.

They hear strange voices and claim that's what the people want.(from who know where)
even after the public has made clear that they don't want it.(gun control ,taxes, global warming)

They keep changing personalities before and after they get elected.

I would look more at the people who vote them in on principles such as "voting for the lesser of 2 evils". What kind of crazy and wacked out thinking is that? Hey - you are still voting for evil. I don't know what could be more crazy than basing your decisions off something like that.

Generally speaking, in terms of what they sell, and not what they do there are 4 basic areas on domestic issues.

Economic Freedom vs Economic regulations.
Social Freedom vs Social regulations.

Each of the major parties off 1 on each side. Republican = economic freedom/social regulations, and Democrats = social freedom/economic regulations.

Most people are more in line with both Economic and social freedom.

So when people vote for the "lesser of 2 evils", they are in reality voting for either Economic freedom(business men etc), or they are voting for Social Freedom(equal rights etc). And in exchange for this freedom they are willing to give up the other freedoms.

Each party sells themselves based on the government they "don't want" mostly. It's always about the freedoms they offer, or the gifts they will bring. And they point at the government the other side wants. So then the people kind of rally behind that and do the same thing. All they can see is the good in their party(the freedoms it offers), and the evil in the other(the government it offers).

And it just flips back and forth because after 4-8 years of it, people easily see the bad stuff that person did and they turn to the other party. "Swing voters". Those in control keep the programs and things from each party, never actually getting rid of any previous programs, and in the end the people end up with neither economic or social freedoms.

Yet, this is still just the surface. Going off only on what they say. Most times even the things they say they represent isn't even that. Economic freedom the republicans sell is really just representing big business and corporate profits. And the social freedoms the democrats sell is really just representing dumbing down, and getting people dependent on the government, and of course the big business who profit from providing services for it.

And these things aren't even things that shouldn't even be in the presidential and such elections, those should only be based on foreign policy.

No doubt people probably mean well, but the way it's going is just asking for trouble. The people who vote for the lesser of 2 evils are the crazy ones. When people realize they are still voting for evil, and quit accepting it and start voting for people who represent both social and economic freedom(the real deal, not the for profit deal) then government won't be so "bi-polar".

I would imagine it's due to pressure and funding from health insurance companies who don't want to have to pay out for our unhealthy lifestyle choices.

Yea, I was going to use Skizo - but a skizo cant make a decision or think things through... it appears these guys have an objective and a plan ...
when 97% of the people call their representatives and say "hell no" to 700 billion and the representatives pass it anyways...
what are they up too.... I think they want armed conflict with the citizens ... and at the same time they are trying to save lives and ruin a nation and do away with Justice, human rights etc etc etc...
I just dont see where they are taking us - except to the bottom ... what ever that is...

Majority of Politicians are psychopaths.
People think of Psychopaths as just serial killers or child rapists or people like Ted Bundy and Jeffery Dalmer.
When in reality Psychopaths who don't do outright violence, like politicians, are far more dangerous than these murderers.
Because they are responsible for the deaths and misery of millions over there lifetime.Through infiltrating positions of power.
And because they don't go directly out and stab someone, they don't get caught.
So they can continue to press there reign of misery upon many people for a long period of time.
