A 2nd American Civil War...?

Jkd, I would very much like to point out that the first Civil War was not about slavery.

It was about state's rights, which since then have been drastically eroded. The last civil war was an intrusive federal government, and if there is to be another, I feel it will likewise be about state's rights.

This very minute, our federal government is spending citizens money, and the money of the yet unborn American citizens.

Racism is overall superficial. We Americans like to fuss among ourselves like brothers, but when the chips are down, we fight arm in arm, race be damned.

I think we are indeed moving closer to a cataclysm every month. Americans are all getting angry as we see our ineffectual government manipulating us and taking away our rights and more people are becoming aware of our true history, and of our true actions. The rest of the world has criticized the american populace as we have sat here and given pass to what our government has done to them over the last century....perhaps they will help us when the seeming inevitable clash between classes comes, when americans finally stand up for their true values and throw off the cloak of ignorance imposed upon them by their government and media. Maybe other countries and peoples will realize that in helping the american peoples to change the system, they will truly be helping themselves. It is a cause worthy of sacrifice, and i would be willing to give my life for that change as well.

So, perhaps the Civil War will be between poeple who need and believe in the system and those who don't...? More like a Revolutionary war?

I do not think the last civil war was based on race. It has only been painted that way by the winner. From historical context their were many events that led to it. James Buchanan was kind of a lame duck president and the industrial revolution in the north was not going as well for the south. Lincoln declaring the first executive order did not help anything... If anything that was the biggest mistake in our constitutional history for when he enacted the first executive order he changes the US from a democratic republic to a democratic dictatorship.

And today Bush has been a very lame duck.... You can bet things will explode on Obamas watch.

I think that a Civil War could start from racism. If say some thing bad would happen to Obama by some one in the KKK or something. That could start some large riots and/or manhunts(whatever you'd call it), and that could perhaps be a cause for Martial Law to go into effect. Then after a few civilians get hurt/killed by military. People will start standing up against the military and fight back. Then there'd be some military who oppose fighting civilians so they'd join up with the civilians. Now we'd have military against military.

So sure it could start intially with racism in mind, but it would just give the people that extra nudge they need to stand up for them selves and take action against our government. To fight for our rights and freedoms that are being stripped away from us. And inturn will unite everyone!

I believe the Revolution is already occurring in the US.

It is being carefully hidden by a Propaganda machine so vast and pervasive that you won't hear of any revolution until it is on your street, in your town and city; and so can no longer be denied.... but only by you.

Even now, American Patriots are engaged in battle with Federal Paramilitary forces, but you won't ever hear about on TV and if you see it online you won't believe it - there will even be people to help you with your disbelief; it is their job.

Or perhaps you are waiting for the TV to tell you - to make it 'official'... That will never happen.

I don't know...

The colloseum did a good job of keeping the Roman population docile and we got TV which seems to be a 1000 times more effective.

Our society is too apathetic plus people live without interaction with their neighbors in most parts of the country. This is a problem that will take significant change before any revolution would occur, one person can start a revolution, but a community has to follow that person.

The only people who seem to truly agitate for serious change are extreme leftwing direct action anarchist and an rare but occassional eco-terrorist. You got some survivalist on the other side...but they are more interested in resisting the system than the brazen attacks of those above.

Unitl resistance/attack becomes commonplace nothing will happen, and if something does it will probably only be in an isolated area like a single state. Just my thought.

I say that we (you as a human race) just forget about race, what happens when I come to unite as a whole population and become part of the galactic interplanetary system? We will never learn, look what happened in the first civil war? REMEMBER YOU HISTORY AMERICA

What does the Constitution have to do with Race?

Please answer this.

Two almost simultaneous attacks, one unsuccessful attempt on Obama, the other a total successful attack on the house and senate. The home grown domestic terrorists will all die too.
They will use some semi-auto firearms but mostly shotguns and bolt action deer rifles. Thus giving Obama the power to declare martial law then confiscate all firearms. The sheep will comply, but the very few of us will fight as Uncle Sam taught us to. The true Obama will then speak out. The two attacks could be substituted as lon as they give cause for the powers to be used! All terrorists will die so as not to give away plot and no one will know any of them.

I agree, although I believe the government is corrupted by the $$$$$$$$$$$$$ of the wealthy.

If this is not your view then we would be potential enemies unfortunately.


I believe whole heartedly that the $$$$ men hold the gas for our engine, they dictate and influence the government based upon what benefits them.

I suppose many of you being FREE MARKET reds couldn't disagree more. At that point I have a problem because your solution is the cause of the problem.

You reds think government is the problem, I think the influence of large pools of money
create the problems in government.

You might think the LAZY sap the system of to much money....

I think that one man being worth $450,000,000,000 saps the system of to much money and resources. I think this individual garners WAY to much power and influence for someone who technically holds no allegiance to the RED, WHITE AND BLUE.

I think these to ideologies are what bind us and destroy us at the same time.

I think the second civil war will spark when/if congress starts passing stupid amnesty bills to open our borders. Alot of southern states will not like this stuff and try to seceed from the United States, starting with Texas as they have the right to seceed even now. History has a way of repeating itself. This is just my speculation.
