Note: This reply is mainly to do with the Grey race of Aliens…I honestly and truly wish that they were that open and friendly but
unfortunately that is not the case.
You state this with great certainty. Forgive me if that comes across as my being negative about your opinions (that is not what is intended), but to
say something so directly does imply that you have had first-hand experience. And as you also stated:
If your lucky enough the wiped memory of the whole event will be remembered but so many arent, I wish I did not remember mine.
then it is obvious that your insider knowledge is infinitely superior to mine. However, I think it is fair on my part, even being someone who has not
experienced any sort of event you say you have, to speculate on the nature of this type of happening.
I am of the belief that “Greys” act impersonally and unemotionally because they are drones; a massively advanced form of biomechanical
reconnaissance unit. This would go some way to explaining their detached, unsympathetic behaviour, as to try and interact, or even reason, with them
would be as pointless as pleading for leniency with a computer.
They are preprogrammed to do specific tasks, and can problem solve when the need arises, but that is a far as their programming allows. Sentiment and
feeling is simply not included in their coding. In my opinion, it makes sense that the motive technology they employ is primitive by their creators’
standards, more than likely mass produced and probably considered expendable. The really “magical” equipment is apparent in their owners’
personal ships; the physics-defying crafts of light.
I do like your idea of their “fishing” for our attention with aerial acrobatics, even if it does imply that we, even after millennia of
intellectual growth, are still attracted by sparkly things. And I don’t know why, but your “lure” scenario somehow reminds me of the Iraqi
regiment that surrendered to a US army surveillance drone during the first Gulf War. Maybe it is inherently characteristic of humans to be awed by
strange things in the sky…but that’s a whole different conversation.
Opening their doors in welcome is actually totally opposite of how they do things, they are secretive and deceptive and would take you
forcefully completely unawares.
Doesn’t that sound like the behaviour of highly efficient, sentient technology, designed to get a job done no matter how unpleasant it may be for
the “victim”? Of course, if there is even a kernel of truth in my opinion, one then has to seriously question the motivation and moral standpoint
of the “Grey’s” creators. What
their rationale is, what drives them to perpetrate these acts of enforced study, is still beyond us. It
may well have a benevolent basis, or be designed with a sinister purpose in mind.
So, having said all that, would I
still step aboard a mothership?
Heck
yes.
