Stores Pinning Hopes On Later Buyers. Last Minmute Sales Will Be Key

This weekend could make or break the season for retailers who are nervously hoping that last-minute shopping and huge discounts on prices will help them recover from a soft December.
Circulars from the nation's largest retailers show Sears stores offering up to 70 percent off on fine jewelry and up to 60 percent off on clothes. Macy's has discounts early today for as much as 75 percent off. But Friday's snowstorm and another storm forecasdt for Sunday in the Capital Region could keep some ......

With the economy being rough enough as it is because of the War on Terror and our occupation of Iraq, the weather has certainly added to it over the last week or so here in the Northeast. And it seems the weather is conpiring to help hurt it even more by continuing to be bad. We here in the Northeast have another storm scheduled to hit us tomorrow into Monday. And on top of that, we could have another storm on Wednesday or Thursday to boot, besides. It may be that the Acid Rain our economy has caused is finally catching up with us as well.
