Very convincing evidence of UFO passing in front of a tornado, at over 9,000 miles per hour with no sonic boom. Very clear footage with cam on a tripod, no shaking to give you a headache.

Very interesting footage, initially it seems like a softball thrown off camera. However when they show the close up and slow motion footage, it does seem to go behind the clouds. Would love to see more info about this. Might look into that NASA photo analyst as well, just to see his background. Starred and flagged.

edit: upon looking into it further I do see that an Otha "skeet" Vaughn did work for NASA on the lunar rover systems.

Small Bio of Otha Vaughn

as well as

Otha Vaughn's home page

He also has an email listed, I wonder if he recalls this video.

The dark clouds moving up through the white clouds looks cooler than the UFO, like sky jellyfish.

thanks for posting and it is a strange object indeed.

other posters have thought it to be a bug or a bird mentioned in this thread...

Ok, I'm new here.sorry.

I thought being just released that people would want to see it.

It's important to note that the original footage in 1997 is made with an analog video cam...probably shot on S-VHS...or possibly Beta tape.

no need to apologize (i've done it too)and it is an interesting video but i have been suspicious about it because of the extreme sounding statements such as this quote from the other thread from the so called scientific investigation into this footage

is about 30 feet long, by 18 feet wide (or something like that), traveling around 9000-12000 mph, at about 500 feet or so

sounds outrageous to me. i dunno but i think the more rational explanation is a bird was spooked by the guys doing the filming and it flew by them and it made it appear the way it did on the video.

can't say either way.

edit to add that i believe there is only one time in that video where they actually show the normal speed of the video and when looking at that it appears like something flew closer to the camera than they are thinking.

not trying to debunk this or anything and i am sure this will remain a mystery as most UFO video do.

Very cool. Interesting that this object was not seen at the time. I photographed a similar-looking object which I discovered only after the shot was transferred to my pc. It was self-illuminated just like this one, but is visible in my still photo. One large sphere with a smaller one above and below it.

There is also something black at 3:24 top left screen in the light part of the clouds

Nothing definitive to be found here. My best guess is that it's debris in the storm, these guys are storm-chasers aren't they? It could be any old piece of debris caught up in the storm clouds. Of course it could be an alien spacecraft or other UFO type object if that explanation suits you better.

Cool piece of footage.
To start with, it is not a bird. How would a bird fly that fast without flapping its wings?
I would go more with the debris theory on this one, however, surely pieces of debris get caught up in storms all the time right? So, there must be hundreds of storm chaser videos that show this kind of thing?
I think it would be worth some of the debunkers finding some to back up the debris claim as this is the most plausible so far.

Yeah I am from oklahoma, its likely debris.

These things will keep things aloft for a long time and send them
on circular merry go round for quite awhile.

Check out more of the tornado footage on youtube and you will
get a feel for it.

If you want proof of UFO's look no further than ...
Confirmation The Hard Evidence Are We Alone (NBC 1999)

NBC - Confirmation we are not alone

That sealed the deal for me for all time.

Based on the MANY credible witnesses and video footage the jury is in.

We are not alone.

Most likely ball lighting. In high winds and such your gonna get build up of static electricity, which is what lighting is to begin with, just massive in charge. It is not any UFO, just atmospheric light shows nothing more.

Cheers!!!!

Wait a minute. These guys called the people who were standing on their roof tops looking at the storm idiots, but they get in their cars and chase storms?......Ok. As far as the object goes...who knows.

One of the best UFO vids i ever seen, and i seen A LOT of them :-) thx.

But did u guys see what they wrote on that site?

"How real is the UFO mystery? Is it made up? UFO Investigators claim that there is more evidence to suggest the existence of UFO's than there is to support the existence of Jesus Christ."

= Baloney

Bird, bug, debris? Behind those clouds and that speed? Not possible.
Since when would flying debris hit a few thousand miles an hour while the biggest storms are just a couple of hundred?

If it were ball-lightning wouldn't it make a bang traveling so fast heating up the surrounding air? Wouldn't ANYTHING traveling that speed give a bang?

Unless we're dealing with a near to frictionless type of object since it doesn't heat up the surrounding air.

Very interesting footage indeed, like most of you said it resembles a baseball being thrown directly past the tripod and into the horizon, which is odd considering the nasa specialist analyzed the object and roughly estimates its 30 ft... regardless its good footage, and I don't believe it to be debris or birds... ball lightning could be a possibility, im sure it travels just as fast as a lightning strike...

Didn't they say 16,000 miles per hour? Either way, a very interesting video indeed. I was wondering if it could have been a bird flying close to the lens producing the effect that bugs do to video that produced that big 'rods' controversy a few years back that proved to be only bugs.

Good post

The object does look a bit like this one filmed in an old WW2 news clip:

It looks like a bug flew in front of the camera. I agree with alienmojo's posting.
