To all the people asking why the driver didn't swerve, I can tell you why.
In your driving exam you are told if an animal is crossing the road and you can't stop, then you run over it. This isn't an exaggeration it's the
truth. Swerving on a motorway would be dangerous at that speed even if the lane either side were clear.
That is without factoring in the idea that the driver may have had a very slow reaction time.
Deer or dog, i'm undecided, but i'll do for dear.

Hi,
My gf is a Dog Show Judge, and knows characteristics of more or less all dogs. She is also a specialist in giant breeds (Irish Wolfhound, Great Danes,
St Bernards etc) She sees the way they move and can identify with an experts degree of skill.
I showed her the footage and she said immediately, Great Dane, but a young one. They have a very characteristic clumsy lope, which covers a lot of
ground.
No greyhound moves in that way, unless it was unsound.
So there you go folks, case closed. Big Dog.

I say a deer due to it looks identical to the deer that cross the road here all the time.
Never swerve to miss an animal choice is hit a guard rail/cement barricade/another car or hit the animal I take the animal only exceptions being cows,
horses and bison/buffalo as they will mess you up if you hit one of them.
But ya the motion is identical to the way deer run as far as I can tell. I've had deer run next to my vehicle and then for some stupid reason just
jump out right in front of it as if trying to commit suicide. But normally the brakes are hit before they do that.
Here's a link to a deer jumping over a motorcycle crossing the road

It's a 3 or 4 year old deer. You can see the rack on it in some of the frames.
Or one of santas reindeer escaped?
BTW, all deer in England are property of the Queen.
Even if you run one over by accident, you can't keep it.

I don't think it's a deer. If you stop the video at the time the animal is crossing the last solid white line, you can clearly see a long tail.
It's a dog in my opinion.
A large wild cat also crossed my mind too, but to me it's a dog.

Well, I think we can all agree that it is NOT an alien and it is NOT edited in. Debating whether it's a deer or dog seems to be pretty irrelevant and
aimless..

To get a good view, you must download the video, then turn up brightness/contrast and slowmo (depending on video player). Then you'll see it
C-E-R-T-A-I-N-L-Y is no dog nor a deer. It looks exactly like a man/dog hybrid.

I agree with Revealation, i do not think it is a dog. It is certainly NOT a Grey hound either, which has a maximum height of 28 inches, or like 72
cm.
If it was a Greyhound it would be the largest Greyhound ever. Because it is clearly higher then the crash protection divider between the road lanes.
Which has a standard height of 80cm? and then the "dog" would be like 120 cm high? I think it is CGI.

I thought it was a greyhound, too. Although I'm no canine expert and don't think it is this >>> could it possibly be a borzoi? (maybe one that had
it's hair clipped?). I've seen one run live before; they are large and quite fast at seem fast at full stride, too.
Just a thought.

to me it's pretty obvious it's CGI. It looks like a greyhound but it's too big for a real life one and 4 seconds into the vid you can see the car
distance from the dog - the driver would have had plenty of time to see the dog at that distance - check 4 seconds in.
Also the person who put this up on youtube deliberately called it an alien grey - obviously they know it's not an alien - so probs a cgi experiment.

That is not a deer. It is not a dog. It is either CGI, or I'm going to have to have another look at those Egyptian Heiroglyphs depicting a man-dog
crossbreed.
As far as that "this is a fake, move it to the fakes thread" bs, what in the hell is up with that?!!
Good lord, I don't think I'll even BOTHER to look at that forum now.
In my opinion, of course.
