Voyage of the Plastiki

Kontiki / Plastiki - get it !?!



This is a cool expedition. They plan to navigate in a boat made of plastic bottles and collect data on the Eastern Pacific garbage patch and to raise awareness of the challenges of the cleanup.

The long-term solution is to stop producing as much plastic products at home and change our consumption habits. Ironically, the global meltdown will probably help the cause.

A similar documentary was made www.vbs.tv... although it's a little slow and obviously not on par with the national geographic budget.

I kinda fins it a little gross that in producing all this plastic we are only causing out own health to deteriorate, the plastics get into the fish and we end up eating it.

Hopefully one of the elite or NWO will push ahead for depopulation and we can sort this out.
