The ruins of an entire city have been discovered in northern Peru, researchers say.
Archaeologists say the find could provide the missing link between the ancient cultures of the Wari people and the earlier Moche
civilisation.

Now here's a find! Its refreshing to see that even in this day and age we are still finding ruins of this size and complexity! Flagged & Starred.

"Ancient?"
I hate it when journalists refer to sites from the Common Era as "ancient."
"Ancient" is suppoosed to refer to times prior (primarily) to the fall of Rome.
The period this "ancient" city belongs in is not "ancient." It's either, Late Classic, Epiclassic, or Early Postclassic - given the range of
dates the site notes.
"Ancient" makes one think of the earliest history of the historical age. This place in Peru dates to the Middle Ages or so.

Well Harte what can one expect of journalists?
Nice to see another group of people found even if they aren't 'ancient'. Lots of work taking place in NW Peru at the moment.
