This is all true and I will not even try to argue any of it. However one must ask one's self a simple question. Why did it happen, and who is
ultimately to blame?
We are.
We are the one's who continue to vote for people that represent everyone but us.
To be represented is exactly that, you represent the people whom you serve. Represent, not think for, not make decisions for, represent. These people
are supposed to be our voice, yet WE have allowed them to become our brain.
Every six months or so I get a pamphlet from my congressman telling me all of the WONDERFUL things he has done for me. This costs money to print,
costs money to employ the people who draft, print, and mail them out. And costs money for postage. Wouldn't it be easier to make a web page and say
something like
Here is what is on the agenda for the next session of congress. How do you want me to vote?
tally up the votes and vote according to those you
represent
We do not elect these people to think for us; however. this is what they believe their purpose is. What they think or believe is in fact completely
irrelevant, their purpose is NOT to think for us, but to represent us, our desires, and be OUR voice.
This is just not happening, thus we need to fix the machine. When your car is broken, you fix it or replace it with one that works the way it is
suppose to. When your washing machine is broken you either fix it or replace it with one that works the way it is supposed to. Yet for some unbeknown
reason, when our politicians are broken, we RE-ELECT them. This defies all logic.
So again I would dare to ask, who is really responsible for what is happening here? That's right, we are.
If you have an abscessed tooth, do you just leave it in your mouth hoping that it abscesses more teeth and causes you more grief? Of course not, you
have it removed. I simply do not understand the intellect of the American people. I sometimes think we want this stuff to happen just so we can have
something to complain about. If we didn't want it to happen, why aren't we doing anything about it?
