look in frame 141 and you can see a spherical ufo for 1 frame.

what do you guys think?

lastest Mars images

"Clouds of dust and ice swirl past the Surface Stereo Imager (SSI) camera on NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander in a series of images taken on the 132nd Martian day of the mission (Oct. 7, 2008). The images show the increase in storm activity and potential for snowfall.

The solar powered spacecraft was disabled by decreased light from heavy dust storms in the area a few weeks later. The last communication heard from the lander occurred on Nov. 2, 2008.

The Phoenix Mission is led by the University of Arizona, Tucson, on behalf of NASA. Project management of the mission is led by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif. Spacecraft development is by Lockheed Martin Space Systems, Denver.

I don't see it. Can you point out where in the frame it is, or take a cap of just that one frame and post it here with the object hikighted?

Thanks.

Im amazed you can see anything, those frames move WAY too fast for me to find anything. I'm not even sure where to look.

Cool video, don't see anything looking like a UFO. But then again, I am not a good judge of those things. Thanks for the link.

Could be a jpeg artifact,.........then again.......hmm.
Any professional opinons.

On another not, the clouds look epic and beautiful, what I would give to experience a martian storm.

Its too well defined to be a jpeg artifact and the rest of the image is perfectly clean.

Maybe a 'chinese lantirn' drifted across from a nearby wedding party, or its a bug! Either way the skeptics will claim its nothing. Sure. Its nothing.

Whatever it is, it has the correct light/shadowing to be a 3d object that much is clear.

it does appear there is some artifacting but the sphere does appear to look solid.

The photos can be found HERE (SOL 132 RAW IMAGES | Scroll down/SURFACE STEREO IMAGER LEFT+SURFACE STEREO IMAGER RIGHT)

Just keep in mind that the images were taken from TWO cameras:

For example, this one was taken by SURFACE STEREO IMAGER LEFT
ID: .38749
phoenix.lpl.arizona.edu...

while this one was taken by SURFACE STEREO IMAGER RIGHT

ID: .38748
phoenix.lpl.arizona.edu...

If the object was spotted by both cameras then we can rule out dust on lens, and this is very important in this type of images.

happy hunting, and GREAT find OP, whatever it will turn out to be

We cannot tell if it's a sphere or anything because it is a 8x8 block in the jpeg file.

In the zoomed in picture provided by spikedmilk

you can clearly see that it is a 8x8 block.

Something could be there whether it's in the sky or a dust on the lens, or an error in the transmission.

Every 8x8 block is a linear combination of these 64 squares

en.wikipedia.org...

In other word, there is just not enough information out of this.

BUT, good eyes! Keep up with the good work! You just never know. I don't trust NASA. If they found something, be it clear UFO, alien, life, or anything there, they will hide the pictures.
