Although New Zealanders are the secret brains behind the rise of Western civilization in the last 100 years (first flight, broke the atom, father of US space flight, first to give women the vote, etc etc and more etc); this must be only a partial explanation of UFO's.

In heaps of other times this explanation woudn't stand up...

This will only explain SOME SLOW MOVING OR STATIONARY UFOS.

Note also that some reports are definite about the shape and solidity, a fireball, would not have that clear perception. For example could a "cigar" shaped UFO be a fireball? Or one with lights of different colors (aka "Close Encounter") ?

Its a partial supposition of an explanation at best...
